Stepan might have been a good idea. Hags I'm not so sure about. I don't recall him burying goals in similar situations. Gaborik has blown most of his opportunities on shootouts and penalty shots and breakaways so far this year. I wouldn't put him out again in that situation.

Also, Torts sees all these guys practice every day. I'm wiling to assume he knows who is best for the shootout at any given time.

My problem with it, is that Matteau wouldn't mean ANYTHING if we didn't win the cup.
