That scorecard looks very odd. How does Lacombe score a goal and an assist at ES play, but the GF column has zero listed? How does that work GF work with the scorecard?

And one other point about the Plus/Minus rating for this game. LaCombe wasn't on the ice when we got scored on at ES play.

Goal Against #1: PP goal. Yeah, LaCombe was on it.
Goal Against #2: ES goal. Minty-Trouba were on the ice.
Goal Against #3: ES goal. Dumo-Gudas were on the ice.

ESPN and NHL.com have LaCombe listed as a +1 rating. Shouldn't LaCombe have a +2 rating?
Goal #1: ES assist (secondary, but a breakout pass) concluding with a Mac goal
Goal #3: 6v5 goal

Also on goal #2, by Killorn, the Ducks had full possession in the Ozone and had several shots. LaCombe punctually switches out around the 35-40 sec mark and Zell comes in his place. Zell makes one pass, the puck moves around, and seconds later we score. Zell was on the ice for the goal, but LaCombe-Gudas tilted the ice on that shift and LaCombe had a heavy one-timer blocked. You can see on NHL.com's EDGE | Goal Visualizer when LaCombe is getting off the ice and Zell is on the ice for Goal #2 by Killorn.

Why are people unhappy with Gibby making 39/42 saves?

Is he staying as a tandem? Is he showcasing for a trade? Until he starts well more than Dostal who cares if they are the only 2 on the team routinely keeping us in games

When Gibby came back, it was a 2:1 ratio for Gibby to Dostal starts in 12 games. The last four games, They have altered starts evenly.

Gibby did make a wholatta saves today. What kind of saves? Here's Natural Stat Trick for the help:
  • CORSI % (or SAT%): Ducks 55, Jackets 68
  • Shots: Ducks 25, Jackets 37
  • Scoring Chances: Ducks 30, Jackets 34
  • High Danger Chances: Ducks 13, Jackets 17

I read the board first before watching the game. Woof, that officiating was worse on the screen than the reporting. It felt like the Jackie's could get away with anything if you do it to Mac and Gibby. How can you call GI on Gibby, but swallow GI twice when the Jackie's do it?! Thank goodness for our video guys to get that PP goal against taken away on the off-side call!!! Killorn... you beautiful hired gun who only is good on the offensive side of things. Finally, LaCombe is still producing points and has been our best scoring D with 4g + 2a in the past six games.

With 4 days off, I don't mind watching the replay of this win again. Granted we struggled to play against a sub.-500 team AND the refs. Still... Yay 4 points! Here's the belated Sweetness.

Finally a win. LaCombe had a great game and I thought Carlsson played better. Fabbri is noticeable when he's on the ice. Gauthier is the real deal. McTavish had his best game in awhile. What a joke that McTavish interference penalty. Absolutely embarrassing call by the refs.

It's nice to see Killorn score, but his play through most of the game was poor. His play has slightly improved recently but he still objectively kills many plays, fumbles the pucks, misses the net, etc... Scoring periodically helps, sure, but he doesn't do the things that I would want younger players to mimic. He's bad.

Also, Cronin still needs to go. It's time.

Agreed on Killorn.

And yeah i thought Leo wasn't good, and the game stat card kind of bears that out. What do you think he did well tonight? I can only recall like one good chance he had.
Carlson hurt his wrist to when he got hurt. I'm sure it's still bothering him

Lots of competition, but my least favorite flavor of poster in the tank era is Poster Who’s Mad at Everyone For Being Mad.
Not mad. Just come in here to discuss and it’s just majority being way over the top and crying. It’s silly.

You just constantly make comments about the "hate" in the board so I was making a leap for the reason.
Yeah because for the most part they aren’t constructive at all and are frankly embarrassing and frequently sound moronic and uneducated about the game.

Weird I generally think most people posting here are educated hockey fans that sometimes get too emotional invested in loving and/or hating the players or team. Regardless this is sports in general, you can go to any other team sub forum and see the same stuff…. Hell read twitter or ducks discord, it’s worse than this.

I know a lot of the people have been here prior to the tank where we had a pretty long stretch amongst the top teams in the league…. It’s a tough stretch now, we’re basically Buffalo west…. We’ve stacked high draft picks but none have really looked like the type to get us out of this position….. the vets have struggled to give the young guys reliable cushion, and coaching is a huge question mark. I think it’s perfectly reasonable and practical to be frustrated as a fan…. We don’t even really have a light at the end of the tunnel yet.

I’m frustrated too. I also see the issues we are having/had like McTavish, Fowler, Cronin etc. Success and Development isn’t all linear. In the McTavish trade thread I saw someone write yesterday that he’s hasn’t shown he can be a good young piece yet. Uhhhhh what? So we forget all of last year, his JR career and where he was drafted because of these 20ish games? Crazy. Was Fowler an issue? Yes he had to go. Sure didn’t seem like he was ruining the dressing room like some people said. If anything he’s always come across as a fantastic teammate and professional. It’s like no logic is used half the time discussing our issues. Just crybaby tantrums. I’ve been here since before reading then joined in 2006 and started posting. Even during our rough years scattered throughout then it sure seemed a hell of a lot more constructive. This board moves closer to twitter/facebook comment sections every day. Even Reddit is more rational then this lately.

Whenever I saw Leo in this game, he was a turnover machine. Like in the worst Killorn games. What happened.

I didn't see the whole game tho
Leo really struggles against tight checking. Sometimes his best chances come in OT where he has a lot more room, one of his better chances came during OT and when he was able to walk in a bit but still lost the puck.

It’s something he’ll have to work on. Seems like he just loses the puck out of nowhere sometimes. I’m wondering if it’s an adjustment still to NA from Europe.

Maybe you are just choosing to read the bad comments then and focus on those…. There are plenty of constructive/rational posting on these boards

Possible. I’ll try to ignore them for the most part now and just respond to the actual hockey discussions.

You are absolutely correct that there’s a lot of hysterical posting, and a bit of gaslighting, going on lately. You are even more correct that ignoring it is better for your blood pressure.

Long periods of losing amplify the chicken littles of the world.
