Lots of teams get them at least. They help with parity but hurt with tanking. Eventually they need a 3 point regulation win, 2 point OT/SO win, 1 point OT/SO loss, 0 point regulation loss system

They'll never do that because the current system creates tighter and longer playoff races.

In a gate driven league, you need to keep butts in the seats and this system keeps fans of bubble playoff teams coming to the arena late in the season.

I would prefer a true three point system, but it's never going to happen.

Yeah, it’s incredible for parity. As of a few days ago, I believe there were 4 or 5 points separating the 15th placed team with the 30th placed team

no... they need to stop rewarding a loss of any kind..

I was at that game Dec 8 1987 when Hexy scored his goal...but my dad wanted to beat traffic so we left early! I heard the massive crowd roar outside the Spectrum while walking to the car....was so mad when I heard on the radio he scored!

Well...I did see Brad Marsh get his head smashed against the board stanchion. Not exactly nice. I had seats 3 rows behind the penalty box. Loved those seats.
