Fun Facts:

Utah played today. Won over Buffalo 5-2, or something. Vejmelka played today so presumably we get an unknown goalie in Stauber with Ingram out; this may be Stauber's first start this season. He has 6 prior starts at .911 for Chicago.

Utah's lineup is incredibly similar to Arizona's. Wild coincidence!

Magic 8ball: Will the Flyers get their 6th regulation win?

Outlook not so good.

Call me stupid, but prior yesterday's game I was kinda rooting for PHI making the playoffs. Yesterday we had a game was direct opponents in terms of PO race, and what happened?

One Tippet rage outburst aside, we were pushed around like bunch of sissies, left Kolosov out to dry. People are rightfully raging re: Torts OT personnel usage, but with how much skilled talent do we have? Watching Cates/Poehling on the ice at the same time than Pasta/Zacha etc was vomit inducing, true, but what were the far better options, MM aside? The theoretical perfect personnel usage would not have been THAT much better. Sure, we could play MM, Sanheim to death on OT, not bench TK etc, but then what?

The game left very, very bitter taste in my mouth and made me feel like such a fool for checking DET/CBJ/BOS etc results on daily basis, hoping they would lose and help PHI in standings. Yeah, I want to see PHI in PO. Yes, there is no rational explanation behind this; yes, it would falsely make FO feel they are making moves in the right direction.

Ugh.

It's embarrassing that no one even thinks about Drysdale being out because they don't miss him at all.

If you dare to ask that question on say the chats of STG, or PHLY they ignore it completely.

I’d love to know when Briere will face accountability for giving a 5OA pick away for a bag of magic beans. They seemingly quite easily bring up Nolan Patrick, but getting jack shit in return for a high pick like Cuter in a “rebuild” can really set a franchise back.

There is quite the laundry list of wrong in this trade, which we have highlighted ad nauseum here.

Ohh for sure.

It’s so strange to me that it’s not talked about at all in the media sphere though. Well… not strange, more disappointing.

Drysdale when healthy is a what? 3rd pair guy that’s supposed to be helpful in the offensive part of the game, but doesn’t do that?

He hurt that left shoulder last season I believe, and sat considerable time for it. I haven’t seen anything other than “upper body” this time around. Would be curious if it’s the same spot.

Put Farabee on 4th line, bring Foerster to 1st and put Laughton on 3rd.

Cates belongs in AHL, bring Richards again at least he tries.

Flyers have zero accountability... We would be in a horrible position if Arizona drafted Simashev against all odds.

Zamula is out then?

Where is Eric Johnson? Feel like he hasn’t played since the Colorado game.

I have to admit that I liked the concept of the trade at first: turn Gauthier into a young offensively-minded top-4 RHD with a pretty good prospect pedigree and what would be an early 2nd round pick. But there was no need to rush the trade, no need to get a roster player, and no need to assume an often-injured player elsewhere wouldn't continue to be injured often here.

Question for my fantasy team, is it fedotov or ersson most likely starting today?
