It was his dumb lead-in, basically saying that Staal is used to sitting out long periods. But everyone knows this is the first time in Staal's career that he has been healthy scratched. The other times he sat out for long periods were due to concussions and the eye injury.

Edit: Unless by back to back they just mean 2 games in a row and not necessarily 2 days in a row.
