[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

It’s gut check time pretty much.
We’ve got to figure out what’s going on and play with some serious desperation or we’re going to fall in the standings.
- Dan Girardi

It’s obvious when you’re winning, you don’t overthink, you play your game and it’s lot easier to make good decisions.
When you’re more relaxed and obviously it helps if you get better starts.
- Henrik Lundqvist

I don’t think we’re a team, when you don’t score, you’re confidence goes down, you don’t win, it goes down.
We’ve got to work through it and just find our way here. We just need to stay together as a team and try to work through it.
- John Tortorella

Heads Up: The GDT is work in progress.

Never read a quote like that from Torts before. :sarcasm:
He's flailing in self preservation mode . Notably kinder and gentler to media , he's feeling the heat no question . Can someone get Brad Richards a heart transplant .

Here's an idea : let's abandon the defense first practices and go in tonight saying we are going to outchance and outscore the opponent . Pinch , hang do whatever it takes to create some odd man rushes . So what if we give up 4 let's try and score 5 . The whole win 2-1 , 3-1 thing was last year this group hasn't won any of those type of games .

I remember when game days were exciting. Man that was cool. Made me less miserable at work. Now I'd rather go to work for three hours instead of watch the New York Beerleagues. At least I get paid at work to be frustrated and annoyed.

Go get 'em ya big pile o' suck!

More importantly it is boring.

Entertainment should be entertaining.

Tort's famous secret castrate and frustrate the forwards recipe does not taste well. I don't mind if we make changes and lose. I do mind status quo and an ignorant belief that everything is alright and this style of hockey will continue to be successful for us.
