Again, Simon with Sid and Jake just seemed to work. I don't know how, I don't know why, but the numbers were there. I always sort of operated under the assumption that is was a coincidence and had way, way more to due with Sid and Jake than it did Simon's presence on that line, but I got raked over coals for voicing such sacrilege. Without Sid and Jake to leech off of, I couldn't tell the difference if we had Blandisi or any other random AHL fodder guy in Simon's spot. He just simply exists.

Yes, you can microanalyze or rationalize most of the goals, but any team with cup aspirations needs their goalie to make some big saves, doubly so when dealing with these kind of injuries.
