It could be that if we were struggling he'd come back early, but since we're treading water, they're being cautious and letting him rest a few more days. :dunno: He looks pretty good in the practice videos.

My dad took me to this game every year back in the day - loved Paul Kariya as a kid.

I predict a hard fought win and a breakout game for Sid.
A real breakout game. He's had 2 or 3 points a game recently, but he has to actually looked like it was happening.

Well, I know Pittsburgh has had 19 B2B's in the recent past, and this season they have 12. The team is still in the same arena. If being East or West was that impactful, the Pens would be on the upper end of the league in this regard.

Can't find the early season post laying out how many each team gets, but a standard season disparity from teams with most vs least used to be up to 8. This inevitably impacted the standings.

Admittedly asking them to get rid of them altogether is a big ask, but they could be reduced and balanced throughout the league. There's enough days to allow for leeway. It would take coordination with the NBA, but it can be done.

You have a fair point with the correlation of layoffs and injuries, but what I'm suggesting would balance out the off-days, fixing this problem.

Again I could be wrong but maybe to compensate the Western conference issue with travel time or amount of it.. .(travel is mentally exahausting). To create a fair or competitive balancing by forcing the East with the back to back.

I bet some players don't mind the b2b if it meant an extended extra day off. Like The more b2b a team has the more extended time off.

Is travel that exhausting when you're cruising around in the absolute lap of luxury and staying in awesome hotels? I mean, it's not the same as home games and sleeping in your own bed, but after a career of this stuff, and the degree of amenities these players are afforded, maybe we should stop pretending they're traveling coach, standing in the airport for hours before their flight, and staying in a motel.

Look, the massage was sub par, and the Moët was served only slightly chilled. The struggle is real.

True, true. I guess the only thing I have left is dealing with constant time zone change all season in the West along with distance traveled compared to the east. I have no other clue as to why some teams get more b2b than others.

But In your scerneio though, sign me up if that meant I could play pro
