Perfectly said. I haven't seen a team more defeated since Renney's last days. And I don't even know if a coaching change will fix anything.
 
period was much better. However i still think its just a matter of time before the pens start putting up goals. Our third periods are usually letdowns

We had a few good chances and controlled the flow of play except for a few isolated pockets of Pittsburgh control.

Cooled down near the middle of the period but picked it up again at the end.

Next team who scores will win. If we get one, we'll get another.

Some of my other favorite Pens announcer rants (not verbatim):

"Wow! What a selfish penalty by Nash. To do something like that in a one goal game!"

"Look at McDonagh! He's just holding onto Crosby and just won't let go! Crosby is not even looking at the officials to draw a call!"

The only two impressive players for the Pens right now are Orpik and Martin, I kinda wish we could make one of those good checks against them in order to create some space but I don't know why, it's not happening.
 
No doubt the period was better. If that had been the first period and this was a 0-0 game heading into the second, everyone would be perfectly content. Heck, if that had been the first and Pittsburgh had scored during that period to make it 1-0 going into the 2nd, we'd still be a lot more likely to say we're playing well and only down 1. The problem is figuring out why the team comes out the way they do and puts themselves in these positions on a regular basis. And the usual frustrations with Richards continue.

Those were beauties. I'd welcome the voice of Jack Edwards right now. That's how little I think of these guys.
