When he doesn't have the puck he's not engaged in the play at all, and when he does have the puck he immediately defers to someone else.

I don't think he is lazy but he always looks meh no sense of urgency maybe. As a 1st overall he misses way to many opportunities to score. Him and kaako make me nervous I wish that wasnt the case.

He has great size and speed and good skill. He needs to play. Howden could never score that goal at this level yet his leash is so much longer.

The narrative that he was a top end talent with a grinders mentality was so off. He’s almost comically lazy without the puck. He reminds me a lot of Ovechkin
