GDT: #27 – Rangers at Sabres – Tue Mar 12 – 7:00PM ET – TV: MSG-B – Radio: WGR-AM

Gerbe

The one time Stafford actually shows some hustle to make it a 2-on-1, Gerbe foils it with horribleness.

i turned it on for the second. My understanding of this game is that it's the opposite of Sunday. Instead of Philly looking good, the Sabres made them look good. In this game The Rangers are making the Sabres look good even with Sabres inept Powerplay.

BTW, Gerbe is an idiot. He had a teammate breaking to create an odd-manned situation and he skates right to him.

Flynn and Porter on the 2PP.... Good to know that Rolston has his own boyfriends to play elevated roles

I'd rather have Hecht on the ice than Ott in most situations tbh

Hecht gets too much hate just because Ruff used him too much. Guy is still good defensively and is a decent possession player. So what if he brings no offense? He's not here to generate offense; if he were, he'd be getting paid like it (I'm side-eying you, Stafford).

Flynn's done more offensively over the past two games than pretty much any other PP2 candidate

So we don't have anyone else on the roster to play on the PP but a guy we just brought up....

Hell of a team Darcy put together.

At this point, it's just a reflex for people. They see Hecht and freak out. It's easy, it's comfortable, and it takes about as much brainpower as a Bucky Gleason column.

Not only does Hecht not get scored on every game like 2/3 of our forwards seem to, he's not as much of an offensive black hole as people like to believe. After tonight, he'll likely be 5th on the team in on-ice GF/60 at 5-on-5, behind only VHP and Foligno.

You can make a decent argument he's one of our better all-around forwards.
