It’s still Subban. What Lundqvist is doing is irrelevant to the fact that Subban actually stinks. Put another one by him and then he’s nervous and the mental aspect creeps in.
Yupp. Subban is a talented goalie but he never had the mental toughness. Yet.

Still, I agree that one more by us should make it very interesting.

They played like this down 2-0. There's no way this game should be 4-1 right now.
They didn’t play like this down 2-0 exactly. Early PP was ok then Kreider hit the post but still too sloppy and dumb plays. They gifted Vegas a breakaway from their own blue line and then a PP goal. Then Vegas let up a bit.

Vegas is rope a doping now. Playing safe just hoping to ride it out. In a situation like this you wanna score two quick ones ideally and then the momentum swings big time and they’re flat footed. We know better than anyone else how that happens with AV’s patented turtling 3rd periods.

We haven’t played nearly as bad as the score indicates. Just really disappointed in our coaching staff right now.

should use a timeout at 2-0 frankly.

should have figured out the PP by now.

And should have pulled hank at 3-0. I’ll tell you right now no goalie likes or feels good about goals beating them glove side. Hank got beat moving to his glove side 4 times. It’s your strong move. He was there on all 4. Just a bad bad game from him.

So let’s see..

1st goal - Bad luck goal gets put in by Lundqvist
2nd goal - Skjei penalty leads to Vegas PP goal
3rd Goal - Both Trouba and Skjei get caught back and Vegas scores on break away

4th Goal - Penalty on Kakko, shouldn’t of happened, Ref missed an obvious High stick call to Lemieux, Rangers would have been on PP.

So bad luck mixed with Skjei having a bad night, and here we are, against Malcom Subban, gonna have those nights from time to time. I just hope they are competitive in the 3rd and go down fighting.

I wouldn’t blame AV for wanting the best 4th line in the league

Part of the reason that first season with AV was so successful is because the team had one of the best bottom 6’s in the league and could roll it out there regularly.

Then he decided to regularly play Tanner Glass the next 3 seasons but that’s another story.

This team’s fourth line got exposed by a faster team. They need another bottom 6 forward who isn’t a defenseman or Haley. Probably 2
