What most people don't seem to realize is that the puck is so dark, it's contrast against the ice and paint results in a video artifact which creates that visible white ring around the puck (and stick) that is noticeably brighter than the ice.

I have it very interesting Theory..... when one of the worst teams in the league and their fourth line,.... is having a strong impact on any given game.... well, .....that doesn't really say much for the opposing team. which in this case would be the Rangers
