Risto is still Risto that was in Buf...

Talk about a non story... He had down years due to injury, but he still plays 20/20+ minutes.

No he isn't. Not even remotely similar.

He was a big hitting, big producing defenseman with horrid underlying numbers with Buffalo. With Philly, he's settled in as much more of a reliable DFD type. His transformation as a player has been absolutely massive.

People laugh at the Flyers for that, but seeing what they did with Ristolainen makes me concerned what they’d do with Nurse. They’re turned Ristolainen into a great top-4 DFD, and Ristolainen is basically just a righty version of Nurse.

If they can work their magic with Nurse like they did with Ristolainen, that’s a major win for Philly. Nurse-Drysdale would be a phenomenal 2nd pair.

Have they?

Yohe predicts an offseason trade of Rakelll…so I’m now sure it won’t happen lol

Dubas at the end of season press conference specifically noted that the defense wasn't good enough and it needed to make significant improvements. Yet Yohe thinks they'll keep the same exact defense, but just with subbing Brunicke in for Clifton? Yeah, I doubt it.

If there was any chance of Shea being re-signed, he would have been re-signed already.

Girard while undersized is definitely an NHL Dman. I would be fine with another year of him on the team. The point is you bring in players to play to their strengths. His fit wasn't exactly great here with Letang and it seemed like they continued to square peg round hole that.

Its not right to pile on Girard, he showed some solid play in the playoffs and was one of the few dmen that was creating chances.

I'd be fine keeping him if they split up he and Letang. And, you know, both had appropriate partners.

Maybe we can separate Girard from Letang and pump and dump him meme stock style.

I would love to say we got three 2nd round picks for Jarry.
