Lindsey Vonn can sap my energy any day. ;)

Yeah she can sap my energy as well. But you and I don't have jobs where we need as much energy and stamina as possible to be at peak performance!

Looks like PK is getting to much of a good thing if you ask me as he's been piss poor going on his 2nd consecutive year as he's was abominable last year as well....

And by the way this GIF of Chris Farley is f***ing hilarious...well done mate!!

Ugh I missed the game but was following the score on my phone, but very satisfied after watching the highlights, and post game. Beautiful solid shutout win against a team we should shutout and we did it being shorthanded almost half the game. Great team win, these last 5-6 games (minus the Ottawa game) have really given me a good feeling about what this team is capable of.

I didn't get to see the whole game as I said, were those penalties good calls or were some of them BS nonsense questionable calls? Did it seem like the refs were trying to help the Devils or did we deserve those penalties?

Suck it, Debbies.

Also I <3 Ryan Lindgren. He's getting nastier the more he settles in.
Me too. And I’m pretty sure he’s not sitting when Staal returns. Will be Hajek taking a breather. Hopefully just occasionally though.

I personally didn't think we were jobbed. I thought we were being stupid at times and at times careless with the sticks and bloodying up Devils

. It was just uncanny that it seemed to occur alot more than usual which is why we were shorthanded for most of the game seemingly which was fine apparently seeing we played our best hockey as has been stated while 4 on 5...go figure.

We also have to remember, while we came out on top on the PK, lets not take that many penalties again. Lol. A capable PP team would have demolished us.
Most of those calls were game management calls. Had the devils scored on one of their power plays the ensuing ones don’t even get called. #NHLKeepinItClose

I thought the calls were generally legitimate, as well. I did think five was harsh for Kreider, and one of the Debs (Simmonds maybe?) should have gotten a retaliation call for cracking one of our guys after the whistle.

Our guys were idiots for sure. High sticks and trips are pretty cut and dry.

My issue is that the hooks and trips weren't called evenly on both sides. Devils got away with a lot.

Yeah there's no way you can sit Lindgren, at this point. He has demonstrated not only that he is an NHL defenseman, but a pretty damn good one at that.

Hajek shows a lot of promise but is rough around the edges and inconsistent. Ideally, since we're not winning a Cup this year, he'd still play. However if Staal must play, it has to be for Hajek. Taking Lindgren out would be criminal.

I witnessed something very rare in this game vs the Debs. I don't know if you guys saw it but, Panarin actually had a forced turnover in this game. LOL! It's been like a month since I saw any opponent knock the puck away from him. When you consider that players get pressured all over the ice, forced turnovers are a part of the game that happens multiple times to every player on the ice. Whether being pressured against the boards or being out numbered in battles (double teamed),... it's a regular occurrence. It's when they are unforced errors (turnovers) that they become a problem. But forced turnovers are expected. Which is why Panarin's play is just spectacular. You never see this guy give up the puck, unless he is shooting or passing it off. It is quite amazing. I have never seen anything like it. Watch him closely next game, and count how many times he loses the puck due to being pressured by his opponents. You too will be amazed.

I love that Lemieux will shoot the puck every chance he gets. With so many pass first playmakers on this team, he is a breath of fresh air. He takes lose pucks and in one motion, turns and shoots. I love it. He is more valuable to this team than we ever imagined. He plays in all situations, PP, PK, and even strength. Has more battle scares than anyone on this team. And there is not one Rangers fan here, who would have thought he would lead the league in penalty minutes. And when he is not shooting, he is setting up spectacular assists to Zibad shorthanded and Kakko on the breakaway. He has been mighty impressive in his limited 14 minute average on the ice.

I thought some of the calls were horsesh@t as usual. Krieder 5 minute major? Are you kidding me? I saw Panarin practically get mugged a few times with no call also. Typical NHL officiating, right on par with NFL in it's incompetence.

Even though we played a flat, troubled team, we weathered 8 PP's, giving Georgie a shutout. That is a great effort. Georgie came up big when he had to. He makes even difficult saves look routine. Lindgren deserves a shoutout. He works his butt off, and clears pucks out of the zone like a seasoned pro. With Fox, Trouba, ADA, Lindgren, and sometimes Skjei, this blueline looks very solid. They are also the leading scorers in the league for team defensemen. There's a lot to like about this game. Our special teams were great. Things are looking good going forward.

Kakko seemed to up his game playing with Panarin. Hope Quinn gives him more time with him.

Yep. That being a 5 minute major and staying a major after a review is a joke. But it's because he's a freak and super strong and it makes all his hits look more violent and worse than they would for another player. He's like the Lennie from 'Of Mice and Men' of the NHL. Freakishly strong and incapable of really controlling it.

Still think that call was absolutely BS considering Tennyson turned after seeing Kreider. A penalty because it was a hard hit? Okay, fine. But a major? Give me a break.

Couldn’t believe that stood. Or that Simmonds somehow stayed out of the box there. Thankfully didn’t matter.

NBA too. All three are a complete crapshoot. MLB is the only one that gets it right. Though that’s because the calls Are generally straightforward black-and-white.

so many things to say

but overall this my favorite rangers team since the cup finals year
I was so pissed they traded Mike Gartner that year. Good thing they won the Cup later on. LOL!

Straka, Nylander and Jagr were some pretty good times as well. I'll never forget a Jagr postgame interview where he answered a question with,.. "It's so easy a caveman can do it."
