I don’t think it’s the worst thing in the world to let him work through it at the NHL level. I will say it is unfortunate for him and DeAngelo to be the only two guys on defense who haven’t known and played with each other a lot since they were like 15

I think, were Hartford the dumpster fire this year that it has been for the last decade or so, I would lean towards wanting him to work through it up here. But for the first time in a long time, I genuinely think that sending our guys to the AHL will benefit them.

If we re-sign him, it would be a huge mistake. I hope they’re just pumping up his trade value by stapling him to Panarin and the top PP unit and they don’t actually think he’s a contributing factor to the success

Then you need to say you want Haley in the lineup or call up Letteri if you move Smith back. I actually wouldn't be against Smith but I think Hajek has shown enough and gets ripped too much, he is a young defenseman with ability.

Haley, or Lias, or Getts, or any guy for a few games.

I hear ya, and I'm not ripping on him; but I really think he's lost some confidence since the start of the season. A dozen AHL games may be just what the doctor ordered.
