Not going to lie but watching Eddie O with that little kid who has cancer for puck drop last night for Hawks Ducks had me reaching for a few kleenex.

Phewww...that was quite emotional. Anyone else see that knows what I'm talking about.

Okay, lets see how this offense does without Zibanejad. I hope we don't get to see it for more than one game, but I got a feeling our offense will be a lot worse, given our lack of depth, if its prolonged.
 
Buch seems streaky as bacon too. Ups and downs, ebbs and flow man.

The overall punishment we take over periods of say, 5-7 games from Staal-Kampfer, and Holden is too much too too much game in and game out.

Until we're without 2 of those 3, and Vigneault doesn't somehow force Gorton to acquire Jeff Woywitka for the 3rd pair with Staal, nothing is going to get done in the playoffs.

But this is the problem with AV. Good players don't need to play well every game to get an average amount of ice time, they are given it because it helps the team win, considering over the course of 82 games they'll produce. A few games should not have them treated like AV treats Buchnevich. And AV does the same thing to Kreider, to a lesser extent. When Kreider wasn't scoring to begin the season, his minutes were considerably lower than last season. Shouldn't be that way.

It`s how AV run his team - he did the same thing with Nucks. He give ice time for production and how they perform on game to game basis, and he has a short leash with ELC players who have less NHL experience.

He doesn’t give ice based on performance at all.. that’s why we struggle

I agree on AV. But Buch needs to make better plays. LIke the one he just didn't make.
 
Lol. Staal is standing outside the offensive blueline to stop the puck.
