Since no one had - I picked Win The Atlantic.
Why not?
Montreal's been struggling. Toronto's been struggling. Ottawa's playing well but Boston has three games left against them.
The Bruins have to pick up points over the next week but if they can - There's a good chance to push up the standings in March.

The goal horn is the second worse in the NHL and their pump up video is hideous - Tom Green?????

Worst goal horn and song? Poutineville

So who is the worst? Boston?

Because that fog-horn they use is freakin' terrible.

Looking at the schedule, they have a real mix of games that you just dont know which way it goes.

My negative Nazarov in me says I think there are too many other teams fighting for their playoff lives and the bruins will depend TOO MUCH on Rask. Additionally, Management will see it as a coin flip and make a stupid move like actually acquiring Landeskog.

The Positive Paille says too many teams are in flux for the playoffs and those huge games vs Florida, Toronto, Islanders, Philly and Snottawa we will come up BIG.
We make it, and outside of Washington, we have a 33 percent chance of winning a round. If we make the playoffs, as the hate for Bels will turn to glorious chants as Cassidy will put Backes, Beleskey and Vatrano together and unleash them on our enemies.

Are you kidding? They just got the third best coach on in the Milky Way galaxy. No way they fail now.

Will say third in division ,but yeah will have a better idea after this road trip.

The tenor of the trip will be set on Sunday night in San Jose.

The Sharks play the night before in Arizona and then have an early start time on Sunday of 2 hours because of NBC. B's need at least a point and with luck 2 on Sunday.

Then the Bruins spend 2 off days in Los Angeles before playing the Ducks on Wednesday and the Kings on Thursday and then have 2 days off in Dallas before they play the Stars on Sunday afternoon.

Does Cassidy ride Tuukka for all 4 games or does he play Khudobin in one of the SoCal games?

2 years ago when Ottawa made their incredible run to make the playoffs it was fueled in part by grabbing all six points in California. That is asking a lot from the Bruins and I would be happy if they grab 4 and even 3 I can live with. What can't happen is last year when they got zero.

I'm all for a Boston-Montreal first round series

How it happens I don't care but it will eliminate the Sweeney crap the Claude crap and the Canadiens in one fell swoop

I think the timing for the west coast road trip is excellent with the new coach coming in, the group should hopefully still have that spark instead of mid season malaise that can set in.

I picked 2nd in the division. Like most have stated, this trip is big. 4 games. 8 points on the table. I say they get 7 of them.

I also think a deal for Landeskog will happen - which will help continue this wave. The Bruins have not had their "hot" streak yet. I think it has just begun.

BTW, Ottawa wins the division and we play the Habs. :handclap:

I think they will essentially back in and get blown off the ice by Washington.

I will watch it on mute because I hate their goal horn more than life itself.

I would rather they not make it than endure this scenario.

My Chicago friend when she went to a Bruins game in November was stunned at how loud the foghorn was and she is a Hawks STH.

I went to the January 20th Blackhawks game (on my birthday) for my one game of the year. Had 5th row seats. I would've loved to have heard the foghorn at least once.

If the Chara we saw in the last game against Montreal is the Chara that we see over the final 24 games, then the top 3 in the East is there to be had.

The current 5 day break, combined with a less condensed schedule ahead, should bode well for the veteran leadership as they try to undo the failures of the last two stretch runs.

I really hope they make the playoffs. Even though they don't have the horses to win the Cup it would be nice to at least see the Bs in the postseason and give the kids some experience. With that said, I don't think they will make it. Other teams will adjust to Cassidy and the Bs will end being what they have been all season -- thoroughly mediocre with real roster issues. They will look good for short spurts then come back down to earth. Rinse and repeat. This song and dance has been occurring for almost three seasons now. Sweeney would have to pull off some moves by the deadline to put the Bs in a position to make noise in the postseason. I have little to no confidence that will happen, and that might not be a bad thing.

I voted second in the Atlantic. The West Coast road trip will be the make or break them this year.

I don't care how good of a coach Claude is, that Habs team has big issues and Price having a rough stretch won't help in any way.
