After the last two seasons, I feel the Hockey Gods will find another way to break our hearts. I wish I could be more optimistic.

Please prove me wrong Bruins!! I would love to make the playoffs!

We are going to play Montreal in the first round - and beat them.

If that happens the Island of Montreal will pull up anchor and sail up the St Lawrence and out to sea never to be heard from again.

Waiting till after the Coyotes game to reply. That's when you'll know imho. March is manageable if they can finish Feb off strong.

I'll say 16-8 the rest of the way, finishing with 96 points and on the edge. Should have canned Clode earlier.

I think that some of the Leafs rookies will hit a wall when things start to get really intense with 10-15 games to go. Third in the division for me.

I voted for "golf clubs" which sucks but it`s me attempting to be as realistic as I can

This team just left so many points out there and have just too many games in hand on opponents IMO

Like to see them play hard, play entertaining hockey heading to the final game and maybe, just maybe my guess/vote will be proven wrong, tis one of those things I really hope I can come back on the board and exclaim I was incorrect about

Might of had a chance, but having their by-week followed by a 9-day western road swing will probably be the final nail in the coffin. If they go out an win 1 game on this trip, they are done. Just bad timing for this squad.

They're not good enough to get in. They haven't been all season long and I don't see that changing.

Come on BMC - think positive. You could live with this outcome right?

I think they will essentially back in and get blown off the ice by Washington.

I will watch it on mute because I hate their goal horn more than life itself.

Connolly scoring series clincher and fans here racing to their keyboards exclaiming they KNEW he would blossom and that DS made a massive mistake letting him walk for nothing

Of course, discounting the fact most here on the Connolly thread were offering their services to drive him to the airport

I think we make it. If we had fired Julien 2-3 weeks earlier, we would definetly make it. Teams ahead of us like Toronto are vulnerable and the Flyers and Islanders are beatable for that last spot.

Dunno. Ask me the question when the Bs return from their trip. A lot depends on Cassidy and how the team responds to him. So far, so good. Big question is whether Cehlarik can produce and hold that spot on DK's line. Could also affect deadline decisions.

Can see them hanging onto third in the division. As others have mentioned, coming of out this road trip with points will loom large in making that a possibility. Think this team does have a different mind set and level of determination than they have shown the past couple of seasons. The stretch drive will be different for them this year.

Every team in the East race has short comings/concerns with its line up which will make it externally hard for one or two teams to pull away from the pack. The schedule imbalance is almost complete and no team chasing them, even should they win those remaining couple of make up games, will be out of reach for the Bruins. Room for optimism.
