I think 1.275 mil. Since Seattle held 50 and we held 50% of the remaining 50. (5.16 mil to start).

We don't need to buy. Squeaking in the playoffs is Holland philosophy. I got another year in me. We need to build a contender that lasts.

Keep Gourde? He cost a 1st rounder we never acquired him. Retaining half is a great idea we just bought a 4th rounder for a little bit of cap space and a little bit of money. Yzerman still has plenty of cap space to use

Story isn't over... I've seen a guy at a kid's performance show pull a rabbit out of his hat before. Yzerman can handle it.

I don't know why some are putting down 4/5 games of playoff hockey. That's literally the next step for this team. The DNA of this rebuild has been incremental steps and improvements, and they're sure as hell not going to go from no playoffs to conference finals.

I do think you can thread the needle between not dumping assets needlessly and improving the team short/long term. Personally, I think this year's first ought to be on the table IF it improves the outlook and pushes them to even a first round sweep. It's been nine years, making the playoffs at this point is doable and honestly there ought to be more expectations in the fanbase at this point.
