Where is ASP playing on the PP, iyo?

I've definitely been picturing both Ed and ASP on PP2 for the next couple years

Larkin wasn't extended early, Raymond wasn't extended early, Seider was extended early. Shit, Even Patrick Kane wasn't extended until the eve of Free Agency.

I would be very surprised if Ed is signed this summer.

I am probably in the minority here, but I don't see Ed as a viable, regular PP option at the NHL level. I think Seider, ASP and two forwards will be a better option. That said, I have been wrong before about these things.

Ed would be better than seider on the pp long term imo. He's a better passer than seider and seider rarely shoots the puck.

Zegras absolutely sucks why would you guys want to use a first for him? He isn’t good defensively and isn’t producing offensively anymore. He is absolutely not worth a first round pick, use that to actually upgrade something we need.

I laugh, but actually agree that Seider and ASP might be a great combo on a PP. It would let ASP just do his thing offensively without worrying about hanging back. I wouldn't mind seeing a 2D 3F power play again somehow.
If that happens, we had better see Ed on the second unit though. Should be trying him out there already over Gus.

Second year in a row losing significant time to injury. I wouldn't be thrilled with losing a 1st for him but he could also be a nice buy low candidate. Before the injury I remember ducks fans saying he had made some good strides defensively, too.

ASP will be in the ovechkin spot if he’s on a PP with Seider. I bet they ease him in though, if ASP gets PP time it will be PP2 to start.

Yeah people keep calling ASP a PP QB but that’s not where he normally plays nor is it his best fit.

Seider is so underrated on the pp. One of his great attributes to me, is he is a lot better than most at keeping pucks in the zone on plays that usually get out or passes that are made in haste to him. Raymond in particular has no problem quickly throwing it back to Seider in tight, where other D would easily fumble it or make a bad play. Seider is great at keeping it going when it seems to be a lost cause.

He is also doing quite well in moving the puck, and has been shooting more since Todd took over the team. Not saying Ed can't be better, but right now, I don't think he is. Ed might be a better passer, but Seider has really underrated passing in my opinion.

Enough with the wanting of Zegras. There isn't a more overrated player on HFWings than him. Do you really want a low compete former 60 pt player that badly? He got 60 pts, he also sucked at everything else and is low compete on top of that. Also, injury or not, he is on 40 pt pace this season while bringing nothing else to the table. I would legit rather have Fabbri back, then pay Zegras whatever overpay he will get on his next deal.

All for improving the Wings, but lets actually get someone good, not a player we have seen before, cough Mantha, cough AA.
