The thing with Petey is this...which player are you getting...the 110pt, 80pt or 65pt center?

If it's option 2 or 3, given his 11m cap hit he simply isn't worth it..

If it's option 1, well, if we're not including 1 of Raymond, Seider or Edvinsson then we simply have nothing that would be worth it from Vancouvers POV(they're competiting not rebuilding)..

Moving ASP or Cossa whatsoever would be a huge mistake

And after watching his Playoffs last season vs Nashville up close and personal? Petey did NOT step up at all and was very underwhelming. Could he end up playing better at some point? Sure, but given his cap hit and what the price is? I would stay away.

Someone here's the insider? Lol ... I heard teams around the league still value justin holl

Hes does have value. Wings fans just bash him and don’t see his worth to this team.

I’d be pissed if we traded Ras. You win cups with players like him.
We have guys that we can win cups with

Thats why we drafted seider kasper danielson nygaard etc...

Unfortunately for ras playoffs doesnt only consist of 5'8 players. Its a shame cause that's when he shines

Oh I agree dude

Danielson and Kasper are promising. Offensive questions remains though. And they’re centers.

Ras is in a good position. He’s sort of a swiss army knife. You’re right on one thing. He isn’t shy. He’s chippy. But he does try to avoid hits in general. It’s weird actually. He isn’t soft in ny eyes.

But hey you don’t value him as much as me and that’s ok. Imagine though he gets meaner with hits and fills out more in a couple years he’ll be ideal for monster top nine player. Think Lapointe and Doug Brown depth.

With the coaching changed they had mentioned the physical game, so maybe Ras can start to figure out how to use his big body better if he's given the chance. Seemed like Lalondes system was allergic to body checks.

Except Tarasenko would be directly competing with Buch for a lineup spot. Only so many offensive winger spots to go around...

I don't think that's necessarily the case. Buch likely spends tanks last season in gr with options of call ups. Kane will be gone likely next year unless he tears it up the rest of the season with Todds system.

Also he's a LW and RH shot. Something were currently lacking. Buch Kasper tank would be an exciting 3rd line. Albeit very bad defensively but fun nonetheless

No Russian kid is coming over for an AHL gig.

Also DBC is a right shot left wing.

Well played hahaha

As an FYI, Brian Boyle, a 6'6 defensive player who scored about 10-15 goals and 30ish points was traded for a 2nd round pick multiple times in his career.
pretty sure he didn't just flex when the smurfs we're around... hey if we can actually get a late 2nd for Rasmussen all the better. See a 3rd and late pick. 3 more yrs 3+ for a 4th liner

Maybe he'll see little Jack hughes running around the ice come post season and go berserk every game . Dont see it happening here. Hope I'm wrong

I feel like Ras would fit in better on a different team. One where he could be more of a utility guy - your generic bottom sixer. The Wings and their fans see his size and his scowl and they really want him to play mean and physical but he just doesn't.

somewhere around nothing
Or convince Fedorov to be assistant coach
Fun fact, his kid brother is coaching Soo Eagles in NOJHL. Assistant & skill coach. So Sergei got family in Michigan already and didn't his parents live in Michigan too? Even after he left to Cali. Sergei would be great assistant coach, i bet we would see his special in OT.

When the opposite team takes a penalty in OT, Sergei pulls his goalie, to make it 5-on-3

Rassmussen has been more physical since the coaching change, resulting in his most effective games of the year. I hope that's a direct message from McLellan and Rassmussen embraces the role.

jack hughes is 5'11 which, believe it or not, is average height for an adult human male from a developed nation
