Ha, I popped into Birtija last night just on a whim with my colleagues and it was great. Amazing vibe, super friendly, good rakije, cold beer. We promised them we'd stop back tonight, since we're staying just up the hill in Kovači. Sloga had some dj night that I think some of the students went to, but we mostly just ended up wandering through the old market area for a bit.

Just confirming that I did go back and drink way too much delicious rakija at Birtija and it was great. The hill up Kovači? Not so much.

Also this wank fest of the vets asking for the youth lol. He quotes Rakell who basically says the team should have been playing youth all along lmao. Which Yohe then wanks some more to Sullivan and some dumb shit.

This shit is never going to end isn’t it? Sullivan is never getting fired. Entire franchise is a f***ing write off. Imagine writing about how Sid wants youth and for 8 f***ing seasons your lover boy coach does the exact opposite until the final dozen or so games.

Dubas came here with two issues, Stay competitive and rebuild as much as possible with the core. Dubas added what he felt did that. It didn't work. It is the latter where he has done a good job of rebuilding the system. Right now the rebuild still has this draft, cap space, picks to trade and 2027 draft to remake the roster to the next run. Things are much more positive here and will get better if Dubas can hit it out of the park of trades for higher end prospects and draft very well at the higher end. Meanwhile the Karlsson trade, one of RR or Rust will add nice talent as well. I prefer Rust with his year of 30 goals but a top 6 center in this draft, a stud in 2027 as well at center and away we go.

I doubt anyone except maybe Karlsson gets traded…ship sailed on Rakell…he and Rusty, the embodiment of a Penguin lol, won’t be traded…but if Dubas really wants to make a positive mark on next year’s team, he must fire Sullivan…everything else is superfluous…this is a coach that’s putting Tomasino back in the lineup on L4 and gave Pono 10 minutes of ice time in a completely meaningless game…

They can absolutely still trade Rakell and/or Rust, and get solid returns for them. But whether this team has the f***in' brains, or can swallow its pride long enough to pursue those moves, is an entirely different story.

I think EK probably has the best chance to be dealt because I think there's a decent shot that he probably wants out so he can compete before he hangs 'em up. Guys like Rakell and Rust? Well, everybody knows Sid's gotta have somebody to play with--even at the cost of potentially two extra 1st rounders and a couple of prospects. :laugh:

As a bottom 6 player I have no issues with Heinen, he has played solid in that role everywhere. It's the same issue with him that affects every player on this roster past and present. Coaching.

There's no hope of this team being competitive when it counts unless there's wholesale changes from head coach down to goalie coach. Every aspect of this team suffers from low level coaching effort, ability, preparation, and system.

Anyways, whatever, if that doesn't change, the Karlsson trade, Rakell trade doesn't matter. We are seeing what happens when this moron gets the younger players up... McGroarty is hurt, Pono and Bemstrom get shit minutes, and WBS is going to get wrecked in the playoffs due to shit for brains ruining their progress. Good job team!!!

Tbh, regarding Tomasino, I think the guy's just kind of a whatever nobody. He might be a more offensive-minded 3rd liner, but I think that's about all he's ever gonna be. And we all know how this team deploys their bottom 6 like they have two 4th lines, Tomasino probably has no real spot/use.
