On one hand, you'd think the Oilers would learn--eventually--to stop hitching their chances on goalies like Smith, Skinner, Campbell, etc. On the other hand, NHL GMs are f***ing stupid as shit.

Jarry's probably movable if Dubas is willing to just accept he won't get any value back in the deal. I just don't think he's willing to accept that tbh.

Very confident Dubas wanted Sully gone last year but ownership said no. Dubas then went and canned Sullys assistants over his objections in a small hope he would quit.

Sadly this free agency is probably the worst one to try and revamp our left side defense.
If last year was him firing a shot across his bow, going out and professing his love and admiration for a dumb f*** coach doesn’t really make me feel like he ever wanted him gone.

As much as Fsg gets moist for Sully, they actually desperately wanted Dubas, they inherited Sullivan and got horned out for him. But Dubas was someone that they actively described as their unicorn. If that stupid ass toddler actually had any bollocks he’d fire Sullivan. But Kyle is as they say…a mark ass bitch.

I seriously think Jarry is someone that will rebound if he’s moved. I think just being away from the Penguins for him would be huge. He at least has fight in him to keep battling back.

But to have as many goalies play as poorly as they have, that’s gotta be something with Chiodo.

Dubas isn’t going to do shit. He’s a weak little nonce and he can play his tuck game with Sullivan like the little twats they are and pretend they want to bring this team back to glory while doing nothing that suggests they actually intend to.

Dubas isn't making any decision as he want to see how things shake out. MY guess is Sullivan knows Dubas wants the transition to younger players and either coaches them or heads out. sullivan just may find that coaching the coming number of younger players may be a change that he sees as a opportunity. Pens were stale and change is good.

I dunno if I'd go that far. Their goaltending is dogshit but that doesn't mean they're interested in our slop. I doubt any GMs are going to be fooled by Jarry's recent resurgence.
I don't know. It may not be Jarry, but if Edmonton bows out in the first round, the pressure there is going to skyrocket and they're going to do something really desperate.

I honestly thought Jarry was getting bought out until he came back and started winning games. I still doubt there's any real interest in him even at 50% retention, but I'm starting to believe more and more he'll be on our roster opening day next season.

Dubas doesn't do buy outs so he's 100% either on the roster or buried in the minors again.

I don't think he'll be traded. I'd love to be wrong, but I think for that to happen it would require a full season of him repairing his value. And if he played well for a full season the Pens would probably just keep him anyways

the trade deadline could be good enough.

Last I saw the buyout for Jarry is disgusting anyways.

Keep him repair or waive I don't care. Teams get desperate anything can happen

Yep. If McDavid threatens to walk in FA, that front office is gonna be in full on panic mode making trades to try and get them over the hump.

Desperation or not I just can't imagine how any GM who wanted goaltending help would go after Tristan Jarry especially at 5 point stupidf***ing million dollars or whatever the asinine number was that our illustrious GM agreed upon because "you can't NOT sign him."

And yes I know GMs are stupid. Trust me I REALLY know that.

I mean you could probably trade him for Darnell Nurse.
