To be fair, I think our lineup is worse without the young guys, so it kinda makes sense if we're trying to lose to leave those guys in WBS.

But what you're suggesting isn't working and won't. Even Sid sooner or later will drop off. These are not young players ok.
If we're gonna be bad,( which we are), at least get some good picks and prospects out of it. So down the road ALL the fans will have a more enjoyable experience and a team that eventually can compete. This current formula will not get us there.

Olli has been pretty good as a coach and seems to be growing in that area of his career.
For his record in Liiga, he went 101-67-6 across 3 seasons in his first big role as a head coach that wasn't some youth team in Florida. He's now with Timra in the SHL and coaching Hallander who is having an incredible season (53pts in 51 games, 26 goals, Hallander is 2nd in the league right now for points and goals) under Jokinen's coaching and he's 27-21-1-3 there. He's far more qualified to be a coach in the NHL than blokes here realize.

Yes and this is my biggest issue with him, that he doesn't understand how to use his lineup to the best of its ability and that also starts with his lack of care for scouting the players best usage before joinign the Penguins which he's outright admitted, that he doesn't care how they were used, they will use them how they fit best in his line-up and usage, lol. So he picks the wrong combinations and then you have them floundering in the worst system that he claims he's changed but its an absolute shit show year after year.
The team wants fans to believe they are still in a win now mode and also wanting to get younger with a coach that consistently chooses the vets over youth and then begrudgingly plays youth only to punish them immediately while veterans continue to get a free pass for a very long time. He also has a very low opinion of the Penguins farm system to the point FSG literally had asked him and that anyone they hire to go through Sullivan for how he wanted it run and what not.
He demoralizes players in the worst usage and it makes me wonder why these morons continue to turn a blind eye to his bullshit and allow the blame to fall to blokes that are actually trying new things and wanting to win and develop and then you have an ignorant twat of a coach that feels his method is right and the players are failing to execute his archaic horse shit system.

Seriously, if you watch their games they're just abysmal with puck management, trying to generate chances, constantly caught out of position, getting very few good looks at the net. They are the epitome of tanking. If you're a Bruins fan you gotta love it! Their GM traded away some good pieces to add for the future and help the tank now. Much respect to them!
Not us, we hold onto some of our garbage, we try to COMPETE in meaningless games that stifle our ability for future years. It's just mind numbingly stupid!
If Sullivan just keeps trotting out Grz-Letang for 26 min a night, and Jarry, we should be able to go toe to toe with the Bruins tank, no matter how unintentional it is lol

The Bruins have this down to a science. I mean as soon as they get an open look they'll pass the puck, no joke. They may not win another game all season, and they make it look impossible to win. Tonight was one of the most unremarkable games I had the displeasure of watching. We're talkin ineptitude of an unfathomable level here. And the Wings weren't much better. I actually feel bad for ABC!
After watching the Bruins the last few games I'll gurandamntee they finish with a worse record then us.

Don't see where Poulin fits TBH. He's not going top 6, but I'm pretty sure McGroarty and Koivunen are up to see if they can be. Bottom 6 is a logjam still with Hayes, Heinen, Acciari all blocking, and Pono needing to clear.

They do this near the end every year, it's basically their only "look, see we use youth!" moment for Sullivan. Because you know Sullivan is never going to use the youth correctly, he will try it for a game at most or a few shifts and change it back to playing the vets a lot more. The rope is super short for the youth, on a team rebuilding/retooling, that should never be the case. It's the kind of shit Torts keeps doing and he gets fired for it, but Sullivan can do it and the blame goes to the players instead.
Bemstrom wishes he was a Beauvillier type, he's more of a Colin White/Jansen Harkins type of trash and he keeps getting played more than he ever should, he just isn't very good at all and he's gotten top 6 time and other usage that others would have shown more with. Hayes, Heinen, Acciari, and I am sure Matt Nieto isn't done making an appearance either before his time with the Penguins is finally done.
You also have to remember - Hayes, Acciari and Heinen are also on the team past this season, lol. So they will get ice time they don't deserve.
Then you have the Defense, Shea went back to being shit, Graves is worse, POJ is just a why situation altogether, and Kolyachonok is probably wishing anyone but the Penguins claimed him. There's definitely going to be a multi-year extension to Gryz by GM Mike Sullivan. Dewar is one of those players you want for a rebuild/retool when you don't have Heinen, Acciari, Hayes, and Lizotte already on the roster. There's just too many of the same type of either players that are too old or smallish energy players that are dime a dozen. Sullivan & Co did Gruden so dirty too, he was far better for a 4th line role and on the PK than trash like Nieto and Acciari.
Dewar's ice time is hilarious, it's so typical Sullivan. A borderline NHL bottom 6 wanker gets increased minutes while young players with skill get demoted.

That's a large part of it, and also an excellent point. We don't aim for the kinds of players who who would also need that kind of development, plus, as others pointed out, despite his work as a development coach in Chicago, Sullivan didn't really develop anyone from the Pens, just inherited a very good draft class on the cusp of breaking into that NHL.
That said, there was a lot of chatter from "insiders" around the time of Rutherford leaving that Sullivan had an impact on drafts and UFA signing, and that the team wanted to focus on more "sure things" since we had very limited draft capital. I remember very much all the talk here about Bjorqvist and Hallander being the kinds of guys who always find a spot in the NHL during their draft. All of this adds up to a very badly drafting franchise, IMO.
I keep hoping that Dubas' changes revamp that, but it's still too early to see the fruits of anything done there.

Trading away a nothing player like Glass gives me hope that they will try to trade players like Heinen, Hayes and Acciari. It seems they finally understood that these type of players don’t help the team and a non scoring bottom 6 isn’t the way to construct a team.

McGroarty is not going to be on the top line with Sid. That line isn't changing.

They can exploit them on line 3 with 15 to 16 minutes a game and 2nd PP minutes. As they grow, they can move up, but these are not Jake like prospects to give prominent roles on the top line to start off. That's asking too much of them. And I wouldn't subject them too old Geno. Novak is a solid 3C, and that line can grow into the 2nd line role.
I would also consider a trade addition over the draft into the summer. I doubt Dubas does nothing on that front.
