Salary Cap: 24 25 Salary Thread Crosbicles Volume Mmxxvii Retool over Time to Go for A Cup in 2026

If next year goes as I suspect it will, he'll be gone by the summer of '26.
My hope is that his albatross of a contract stops protecting him around then too. I can understand riding out his money when there are no prospects to ruin, but he needs to be on an ultra short leash if he refuses to play the kids over vets.

Ah, good, add some young guys hungry to prove themselves and breathe new life into an aged, bottom 5/6 team in the league when the only goal is to be as bad as possible for the next 10ish games to secure the best pick possible. Love that.
Can't wait to see Sullivan not understand how to use the lad and everyone here will bitch that Ville sucks when it’s Sullivan being his usual dipshit self.

I still want Jeff Halpern, Jay Leach, or Marco Sturm. I'm intrigued by Joel Ward, but I think he's a little green.

Halpern has been with Tampa, the premier organization in the NHL, for a long time. He's been in charge of their power play, so he knows how to manage strong personalities and talent. He'd be able to handle the twilight years of Sid and Co. while being creative enough to help the younger players thrive.

Leach is considered one of the top coaching candidates in the NHL. His personality and ability to think the game is apparently top notch.

Sturm has played a big role as an assistant and as AHL head coach in getting LA's younger players ready for prime time. If you're looking for someone to develop with a younger roster, he might be a good fit.

Todd Nelson deserves a shot over a lot of those names imo.

Hell, I'd take one of these guys over Sully.

Ouch! I haven't been watching. Was this an injury suffered during a game?
Yeah I think so but can’t pinpoint it. One minute he was playing and the next minute he was out and never returned and then, per usual for the Pens, listed as day to day lol

Too bad Geno is still out…would have loved to see what Sullivan would do with the lines then

Also doesn’t matter what he does with the forward lines if Grz and Letang are still together…good job tanking, Mike, with that combo playing top pairing minutes

Saving grace for the kids is that Rak needs to play center. Well until one of the kids gets benched, Rak foes back with Sid and Acciari goes back to center.
