I keep hearing how Rob Blake is a moron...but he can't be THAT much of a moron can he?
He traded Brock Faber and a 1st for Kevin Fiala
So yes

I love Sid. But keeping Rakell “so Sid still has his winger” would be monumentally stupid. It reeks of something the organization would do though so I won’t be surprised when Rakell is still here after the deadline on Friday.Yeah. i'm tired of that freeloader Sid ruining this team.
bro chill

How in the name of god are you not a lawyer. Not sure what the issue with this trade is lol. Fiala was a 25 year old and put up two 70+ pt seasons in LA.

Honestly, if he hits UFA it's probably because the Oilers still haven't figured things out and he wants a chance to win elsewhere. I don't think this team makes any sense, even if they throw a max contract at him in FA.I know it's not hugely likely, but what happens if McDavid hits the open market after the end of next year? Could the Pens actually be players in that sweepstakes or do you think the windows just don't line up in a way that would be attractive for McDavid?
This is not arguable to be fair.Brock Faber is arguably the best American defenseman in hockey right now
Mercury's in gatorade.We got this
All the planets are aligning
Do it anyway. It's a top-six option next year at close to league minimum, when you re-sign him.If we had a plan in place to send out Acciari, Beauvillier, and Nieto/Hayes/Heinen - I would do it.

Brock Faber is arguably the best American defenseman in hockey right now and was already a top pair quality guy like a season after he was traded.
It's not that Fiala is bad, but trading Faber and a 1st for him is bad.

He’s one of the 6 best.
He's always produced well. He's a strong player with issues off the ice. He's shooting 25%. The production is unsustainable.
Who's really competing with him for the title? I think it's a debate between Slavin, Faber and McAvoy at this point.
Oh shit, I forgot about Hughes. Yeah Hughes is #1 but Faber is definitely in the debate for that #2/#3 range.
Agree…I’d rather have Greentree..Clarke is a good player, but he's fallen from what he was booked as from a prospect stand point.
There are massive holes in his game. He's essentially the same defensive mess as Kris Letang and Erik Karlsson, but on the other spectrum.
If you think Sullivan can fix that, maybe you have a good piece, but he is largely not succeeding in LA because the staff prefers a stay at home guy on the 2nd pairing and trusts Doughty on the PP and in offensive minutes.
I don't think Clarke pans out to be the top pairing guy he was projected to be.
lol... uh...
Got some bad news for you.

Zach Werenski, Quinn Hughes, Slavin?
That entire team is dumb as rocks. Theyve been playing a bunch of trash over Clarke
Hughes is #1 but I think Faber, Slavin, Werenski and McAvoy are all debatable for #2. Faber is just really god damn good.
