Let’s say we have 6OA. Let’s say the nucks offer EP for it. That’s a no from all of you, right? (Just trying to gauge what kind of player you’d actually trade our pick for)
I would only say no because I don't think EP fits the rebuild timeline (that I want). That's with full acknowledgement though that EP is likely worth more than the 6OV in the 2025 draft. But by the time we turn things around, he'll be an old man and we'll be right back to where we are now.

Last year sure but EP has been on a hard decline. I'd rather keep the 2nd and try to pay Marner 14 million than tried the 2nd for EP.

EP situation is looking more like Huberdeau than Eichel. One guy fell off after getting the money. The other redbounded awesome after injuries issues.

Delays the tank, but is a young player who immediately helps the core compete. Instantly allows you to do different things with Malkin to lighten his load. I thought it would be a slightly tougher “no.” I’ll try a different player

Ya but the point is EP sucks lol. I'd rather get someone better for 6th overall or just draft a player.

I was going to say definitely yes. 100 point player, can easily retain and retrade after he gets back to the norm. Profit.
Damn it. Forgot about Sully.

Ya ya. I’m thinking of another player, hold your horses

I think a package with the 6th as the pens main part and Cozens as Buffalo's would be intriguing. I think Cozen would do much better away from the Sabers. And Marner could help with some of his defensive struggles

Rakell - Sid - Rust
Geno - Cozens - Marner

I guess another way to look at this is, if we could go back to 2024 - would we trade Helenius for EK?

With where we are now, as a team, I would say no. Back then, ...prrrrrrrobably.

It’s really difficult to find a mid-20s GOOD player who teams wanna part with. If it’s not someone like EP, you’re right, it’s gotta be buffalo or maybe Detroit

I think the team is way too cooked for a EP acquisition to even matter. At this point the need 3 top-4 D (EK being the only one here), 2 more top-6 wings, 4 good bottom 6ers and a starting goalie. That's assuming that Sid/Geno can at least maintain their current production for another 1-2 years

I would trade the 6th overall for EP if they had reason to believe he’s not damaged goods. If the medicals suggest he has something chronic then no.

no one knows for sure, but Nucks fans seem to think (and maybe they're just coping) that it's tendonitis.

if a hockey player acknowledges tendinitis it’s a pretty bad sign imo
no one has acknowledged it, actually. This is just what nucks fans are saying (and I think I saw a twitter doctor (actual doctor) suggest it)

I'd give them more credit than that. Tendinitis can easily be enough to stop most professional athletes from performing at their peak. Sometimes its an easy fix and sometimes not.
