Boston Bruins 24-25 Roster/Cap thread XX

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

I fully anticipate the Bruins struggling again next year to, so.. Might need to add 82 games to that..

By all accounts I can see, only Frondell and Misa are the only forwards that might not need at least a year to marinate. And outside of winning the lottery, I don't really see how the Bruins can fall that far (I think Frondell goes 4 OV).
You gotta believe

The McAvoy News is disturbing

I think that given what we know now, the risk of our top pick being 12 or higher is too high to give up for JJ Peterka. You can’t do trade protection on offer sheets, so with that I’m out.
I have JJ Peterka in the HFL SIM after a big trade last summer sitting at the Tiki bar at the Anchor Bar in Beverly

Show the man respect

JJ Peterka is a stud ~ I would give up almost any pick in this draft for him

He’s exactly what they need

This team as constructed, with a healthy Mac and Lindy, a shiny new top 6 winger, and a new coach to start camp, will be in the wild card position at the least. It sounds like you’re thinking they will be top 10 again, which they would need to blow the roster up for.
I think that's a little optimistic, unless we can chalk up Swaymans season to a 7 month anomaly.

Least Chrychun can put up some goals and run a poweplay.Rather be paying him the 9 then McAvoy anyday

How many years has Chychrun been the better all around player? I think the answer is 3. 2016/17 since Charlie was at BU that year, and then this year. Probably 20/21 as well. That leaves 6 years where Charlie was the better player, often by a wide margin. Even with Charlie's struggles this year there is no way I would trade him and his remaining contract for JC

Don't give them that McAvoy is better stuff because he is not Nine million bucks and cant run a powerplay .All around gets him where he is right now which is hurt again.
