If I never saw Marat in a B’s sweater, I’d have done the 1x3 because he could be buried/waived and he did show a flash in the pan there for a bit. Khusy seems like he has upside in his reached though, and it’s nice to get an extra pick, albeit late. Lauko is a great mascot too. Regardless, it shows that even with such a low risk signing, they are trying to concoct a new chemical makeup for the future of the team, and cutting loose what isn’t working.

Who in the media likes Sweeney ? I can’t think of one person other then Joe McDonald and msybe Steve Conroy.

when Belichick was winning SB the Boston media was petrified of Bill

I was just reading all these articles friends send me from Causeway Crowd and other writers I’ve never heard of

Per DuPont Sacco not back will be reassigned if Sweeney survives

Sweeney & Neely both could be out per sources whoever they are

Brick told LA Kings Color Guy McAvoy next captain

Marchand not coming back

Well that was easy lol

If you gotta cite people neither of us have ever heard of....

2 tickets and a team signed jersey is not the definition of scoring big to me, this year

Shirts off their back ought to be interesting

Thrilled they held the line and decided to move on. JB had crashed into the wall and was part of the problem, not part of the solution. And best for him as well, as he would have ultimately ended up back in Providence.

I straight up don't think Brazeau is a player that helps winning in any way at all, at least this year.

Trading him straight up for Lauko would have been a good move, to get Khus and a 6th rounder is just gravy. I don't know if Lauko is a better player than Braz, but brings what they need which alone makes it worth it.

I don't love Lauko, he's got his issues. But he can on his good days contribute to winning hockey. And I think he's a really good 13th forward who can fill in on many lines for a game or 2 in those situations where you don't want to shuffle all of the lines.

Brazeau is a major negative everywhere except on the PP. I don't understand why he got the leash he did this year to play, but it worked out I guess. Highway robbery on the trade, I thought we'd be lucky to get a 6th alone for him.

I’d offer Marner $15 mil and see if he bites.

Hopefully draft a stud in the top 10 and hope to god some of these young players/prospects take a massive leap.
Do really think that is what it would take to get Marner, I have read less, but I have no idea, 15 mil how would that sit with Pasta, do you think. I feel he needs to understand someone like a Marner, will make more but not sure 15 is to much.

Three games in hand 7 points back and Bruins tanking ~ if the Bruins get nothing vs Ducks, the Sabres are catching them

I’m impressed we will only have to endure 5 weeks of games and really only 15 games overall

Might go down as the greatest rebuild in the history of hockey when all said and done

I’d do this so quick and add on Lysell and a 2nd, but I don’t think Seattle bites. I’ve been racking my brain for potential goalie ( + poitras swaps to relieve the middle 6 center logjam). Daccord is signed cheap for a while and is also a Boston boy…what a steal that would be. Ultimately, Sweeney doesn’t have the balls, and no team is going to want Swayman without a huge overpayment or retention, and if he does do it, it’s probably for someone worse than Sway considering he took on Korpisalo to move Ullmark (lol). Seattle is interesting because maybe you can swap 1sts too depending on what’s involved. Wish it was Askarov we could swindle.

I bet Sway bounces back okay next October though. If not, Alaskan Airlines sells 1 way direct tickets…
Lysell will not get that done, I love Beniers,, and Daccord would be nice, but you need a real add.

if Seattle adds a pick then yes, Beniers has more potential than Poitras IMO, however even though Swayman is having a down year, he has shown what he can do, like in the playoffs last year, without him we don't beat the leafs and he is still young and has talent to be a stud # 1, I think he can bounce back.
If Seattle would make that deal the Bruins should take it and run, that is a steal.

I fully anticipate the Bruins struggling again next year to, so.. Might need to add 82 games to that..

By all accounts I can see, only Frondell and Misa are the only forwards that might not need at least a year to marinate. And outside of winning the lottery, I don't really see how the Bruins can fall that far (I think Frondell goes 4 OV).

You want to give up this team’s top pick next year (given how the landscape looks right now) for JJ Peterka?!?
High end skilled 22 years old young gun in the nhl with 2x50 plus points season, a futur 30 goals scorer who want to quit Buffalo, maybe Boston could be attractive for him, a first and a 3rd pick it's far from bad to maybe get him from an offersheet at 6.8mil...

All firsts aren’t equal. A first in the 20s? Ok worth discussing. A first with where the Bruins may pick next year? Get outta here.

This team as constructed, with a healthy Mac and Lindy, a shiny new top 6 winger, and a new coach to start camp, will be in the wild card position at the least. It sounds like you’re thinking they will be top 10 again, which they would need to blow the roster up for.

I think that given what we know now, the risk of our top pick being 12 or higher is too high to give up for JJ Peterka. You can’t do trade protection on offer sheets, so with that I’m out.
