Vegas doesn't have anything to give. Don't think Marchand makes LA a contender. This was probably the best deal out there for him if we're just looking at the West, and I think Colorado wanted a center anyway. I'm more convinced now he's not going anywhere, whoever has the most to give for a rental is going to get Rantanen.

Not impossible. I think there may be a fit there, but they need d with Heiskanen week to week. I have seen Stankhoven and a first suggested somewhere, but that's not enough for me. Stank is a third liner.

What I’m hearing about a Brad Marchand trade and what the Bruins expect in return

The Bruins have made it known they are serious about trading the captain, and as of Thursday night they had set a high price.

I don’t need a first, just some other names have…

I would trade the farm- Marchand, Carlo, Coyle, and Merk if needed for Byfield, Clarke + a pick if they were shortsighted enough to take it. Greentree and Turcotte are other names for other packages that could work. Prefer not to lose Zacha, but they have players/assets and we have ways to help them contend is all I’m saying, whether or not either office would pull the trigger.

Khuznutdinov is a recent 2nd rounder with KHL success, a bit of NHL experience and a positive profile…and a center at that. Would you seriously prefer a 5th rounder over him for Brazeau? C’mon. Bruins have roster spaces to fill and Lauko was fine as a 13th forward.

Good performance prior to being drafted. Good AHL performance. One tease of a NHL season surrounded by crap.

Next person to send him out there next season is betting on an age 24 breakout. Probably not happening.
