Maybe not snuggerud but he'll surely bring in their first imo. you always start big. lollol Carlo doesn’t net you either of those, let alone both.

Fair enough, I wasn't that aware he has been a guy they wanted for a while, so I get where you're coming from there.
I personally liked the player but feared the term that would come with it, thought he filled a need here but I think the fact he couldn't find chemistry with Pasta really hurt.
At this point best we can hope is he has a bounce back season and with the rising cap the contract doesn't kill us that much.
It's disingenuous/gaslighting to pretend that there weren't serious questions about both deals at the time they were signed.
I'm kind of an optimist by nature. I don't really like to dwell in negativity. However...
My gut is telling me that four or five years from now, we'll look back at the events of the past few days as the point in time where things took a dramatic turn for the worse.
I think the Lindholm deal carries a significant amount of risk.
I hated taking back Korpisalo in the Ullmark trade.
I detest the Zadorov deal.
For a long time, I thought that Don Sweeney's best attribute has been his cap management. And in the last 96 hourse, he's added three long-term, high risk deals to his books...
Boy, I just don't see it, way to much smoke out there for something not to catch fire with someone.
Basically he becomes the new Coyle on line 3...bit overpaid for what he brings, but a nice luxury if the rest of the team is good. Though for that to work you need two solid guys above him in the top 6, something we obviously lack currently.I didn't think the drop-off would be this sudden. I never thought he'd make it to the end of the 7-year deal.
If he can give you 15 goals, 25 assists, solid face-offs he's overpaid for now but it's still better than a lot of players on this squad. I still think the main concern is say in a year or two his play takes another big step back now his contract is a real problem. 40-45 points he's probably giving them 60-65% of the value of that deal. If he's down in between the 15-25 range, that hurts in a cap system.

Murphy saying no Marchand trade. Makes it a sure thing, good luck Brad!
Pull them off ice at warm upsAny player that a team has asked about I sit tonight. Just in case.
I still think Geekie can bring us back a solid return...we should explore a trade. If I was confident that Geekie would still be the same guy on the 2nd line and away from Zacha/Pasta, I'd be more comfortable with the Bruins giving him a multi-year deal. I'm kind of on the fence about that... it would be nice if he became the go-to shooter for the 2nd line because it would help solve a piece of the puzzle that is next year's team.
If the plan is to sign Geekie, I'd like to see the Bruins target top 6 left wingers since Marchand is an unknown.
XXXX -- Zacha -- Pasta
XXXX -- Lindholm -- Geekie
Could we not just forfeit the game ? LolAny player that a team has asked about I sit tonight. Just in case.
Can someone explain why Pitlick is on waivers? Does it have to do with the signing?
Brad says he wants to stay but they need to come to an agreement and I’m sure both sides have their lines drawn in the sand. So if Brad doesn’t want to move he needs to move his line, because at this point I don’t see Sweeney doing it.I typically put zero stock in what Murphy says, but this make sense. Sweeney isn't going to force Brad to leave. If Brad wants to move on then Sweeney will see if something works. If he doesn't want to leave, then Sweeney is happy to let him stay and talk contract for next year. Brad has said he wants to only play for one team.
Any hints you can give us for tomorrow? He was on an AHL contract.
Once he signed this new contract, he became an NHL player and needs waivers to be sent to Providence

He will replace Sacco essentially passing the buck then is basically what you are saying if this happens.I hope the fire Sweeney chants start soon.I'm increasing convinced that Sweeney won't make any significant moves. He will play it safe, see what the offseason brings, and try and run it back next year with essentially the same D and a slightly revamped forward group. I think he's still of the opinion that he built a good roster that was done in by circumstances and bad luck, and it just needs a second chance to prove itself.
Thanks Dom. Nice of them to reward a long time NHLER with a two-way contract. I believe we will see him in Boston at some point. He was on an AHL contract.
