The Bruins wouldn’t be able to take his next contract without shipping players out starting with Swayman.

And I would be perfectly ok with that. If a team is willing to take him at 20% retained then you eat that for 8 years.
Who you going to put in nets? The Oilers are searching for a goalie and can't find one and they have legit shot at Cup.I think we best hope he is just having a bad season behind a shit team.

Donny better sell whatever he can sell. Guys like Beecher, Brazeau, Korpisalo, Osterle, Wotherspoon and Callahan , whatever if the offer is somewhat decent move them. Players like Carlo, Coyle, Frederic and Marchand especially you only move for the right offers.
I don't even think you could get a 3 if you combined them all

For sure not much , but just saying if a team did say hey we will give you a 6th Rd pick. for depth player, may as well make that deal. I could also see any of these guys depth players added to bigger deals, if a team deals for Marchand and Carlo, maybe you add Brazeau and get just a little more?

Totally agree with you.
Osterle, Wotherspoon and Callahan
are all AHL players.
Lucky to get a 6th or 7th rounder for any of them.
Wotherspoon was on Bruins pp yesterday for 29 seconds. He also played 1:48 shorthanded time.He took 25 shifts and logged just under 20 mins.He was even with 1 assist 2 shots. He is a cheap player that can fill in when guys are injured. The Bruins should keep him around .He is only 27 and making 800k.They can resign him cheap and cap is going up quite a bit.

You don’t think Mittelstadt or Zibanejad have been top6 C’s the last two years? I see folks here penciling Poitras as our #2C next year and you could make an argument that Belluz is a better prospect.
No one I go to games with or been around hockey for years following Bruins has Poitras as 2C next year

People here are really saying this

He's a guy I would keep on an affordable contract to be your 7th D. You know injuries are going to happen and he can step in a do a competent job. He might even be alright on a third pair with the right partner,

Would like to see kastelic get some run with marchy and lindholm. I know he is not a top six forward. But atleast he brings it almost every night. Change up the lines. What do we have to lose.

Those are the exact reasons he may be coveted at the deadline. He's a hard nose player as well, not afraid to go into the danger zones/dirty areas.

I don't say he's untouchable, far from it, but I also don'tknow he has enough value to be worth moving- you still need a roster after the TDL. What would you get for him? A 3rd rounder at most? He's better than 75% of players you could select in the third round outside of goalies. I guess it could be worth it :dunno:

Basically exactly what @22Brad Park said above lol

Getting Misa is too exciting and too much of a longshot to think about. Don't do it to yourself.

Desnoyers if we can get as low as 6th overall. O'Brien if we end up around 10. Realistic spots to end up in, and they are 1st line talents.
Keep dropping is best hope as a Bruins fan .I know it sucks for us but the best pick possible matters now .Misa would be a homerun.Still can't believe they left him out of WJC..Everyone there should be replaced if that's the mindset
