Pasta is a f***ing 55-60 goals a year guy with the right centermen. That's not Geekie and Zacha. Pasta more than not is playing playmaker on that line and setting Geekie up for backdoor tap ins.

Keep one of Geekie/Zacha as the LW and go get a center thats going help Pasta put up 110-120 points, while putting up 70-80 themselves. If the LW on that top line hits 50 points, I'd be happy. But having the LW and C be 40 point guys does not drive enough offence.

Lindholm sure as shit needs to be the 2C next season. We're paying him accordingly to do so.

I think one of Geekie or Zacha is a totally fine compliment on a Pasta line. But there should be another 1st liner on it too.

The forward ranks have thinned out due to the Frederic injury, Wahlstrom waiver and now the Poitras injury.

They need help for the weekend games. Will Tufte stay in Boston? Who will they add from Providence?
 
This roster is bad. It should bottom out and finish bottom 8 by the end of the season. If you can, trade:

Frederic
Geekie
Coyle
Carlo
Brazeau
Wotherspoon

...for anything you can get. Use all these assets to get: 1st line C. Nothing else matters.

Let's say you get a 1st (Carlo), two 2nds (Geekie and Frederic), a 3rd (Coyle) and two 4ths (Brazeau and Wotherspoon) for the above.

Take that and offer it for Pettersson, Barzal, etc and see what sticks. Then come back with a healthy 1st line C, healthy G, healthy top 4 D and a shiny new prospect in the system (this years' 1st).

Why would Vancouver trade Petterson for that? They're a playoff team and they already moved Miller.

You want a future 1C? Trade Marchand at the deadline for a stud Center prospect and a pick. He at least has some value to a team making a push for a Cup....its literally that simple.

This team is a loser and DS needs to trade players for what ever he can get. All the UFA should be moved and don’t care if they move Geekie Carlo or Coyle at this point time to blow it up

I'd rather have at least one person in the room who is a leader and has won before though. At least one.

Exactly what I was thinking. I'm sure Sweeney as well. Time to start testing candidates for the top-6 next year. I have a feeling there's something there with Patrick Brown. I know he's been getting NHL looks every year for the past 10 seasons, but this might be his big break. Coming into his own at 32/33. Just starting to blossom. Exciting times ahead.

as a 2nd pairing RHD in Boston. Jacobs has the money, that's for sure. Just ask the STH's asking to pay more next year.

Draft a centre be my plan if they can fall low enough .I do not want to waste any more money on other teams problems

At this deadline and before July 1st, I'm moving:

And giving Coyle's cap space and money to Marchand for 3 years to retire a Bruin. Tell him he's 3rd line and passing the C on after year one. He'll be Lindholm's LW and have a rookie on the RW as the two of them bring up a RW with a future 2nd line RW role.

He will be with Lindholm bringing up a RW just how Recchi and Bergeron brought him up in his 2011 rookie year.
