Sweeney brings in bottom.6 plugs steady Show me the high end talent he added? Yup ,that's right ,nothing.I will bet it's more of the same type players that you hope can get you production, not proven production. You are right about one thing though for sure ,he needs an A off season and solid draft. They have no 2nd so they should try to aquire that at deadline for sure .Get a 1st and shock me by not reaching .This deadline & off season is the biggest moment in his GM career and don't think 2015 talk won't be mentioned by panels either.Pressure time for him.

Not sure who you mean by "panels".

regarding the architecture of this team moving forward, I will say this

it's been a helluva run, we are so fortunate for the last 15 years

we basically had the bucket list of being a hockey fan, particularly when you factor in the anguish we inflicted upon leaf-land, time and again

Maccelli speculation per EF. He says Utah needs size. He mentioned them back to back seems like he was trying to "suggest" it
I really wonder about this, only because Utah is on the outside looking in and the teams their chasing all have games in hand, but maybe their planning on signing Tfred to an extension. Even so I just dont see him as a piece that would push them past either Vancouver or Calgary though. Unless this is just the beginning of a series of moves by them.

Sweeney sells (but keeps Geekie and Marchand). He's forced to call up all the kids after trading away 4 other players.

It's now April 10th. With 3 games left, the Bruins are just 2 pts out of the final spot.

This is the excitement we are here for...

I agree. I think he knew this team was out of it the first weekend in January and has been planning accordingly.

You think he is? I don't at all. I think he knows exactly what he's going to do or at least what his specific options are and how he will proceed with them. If I didn't know better, I'd swear he had a law degree
He has been forced into the context he's now having to reconcile with. Beyond idealistic and trending toward deluded to insist he had planned on losing based upon the off-season, and the firing of a head coach; the result he had planned for and anticipated is not there, and hasn't been. I am not doubting that he's seen that and altered course, but I'm not buying that this group has at any point fully acknowledged, internally, that they need to deconstruct what they've put together. Non-commital, and no self-awareness. Bunch of "We might maybe possibly hypothetically". Smartest guy in the room.

This is some serious emotional projection lol

Marchand • Zacha • (Geekie)*

Lindholm has had an underwhelming season but I still think he improves next season. With Pastrnak & Zacha a Lindholm type would be a good option at center for his FO% and defensive ability.
Well thats what I honestly thought we were getting when Sweeney signed him, although Zacha has been playing some great defensive Hockey with Pasta and Geekie.

Do you sell high on Geekie?

If you’re looking to extend him, at what cost?

And to what end?
If we look at reporters' NHL trade boards, if you factor in age, cap hit, and production, Geekie could be one of the better options at this deadline for a contender that wants to make a move to improve their club now and the future. I think the Bruins should at least listen if someone offers them a 1st++.

Probably looking at a 2-3 year deal in the $3-$4.5M range to re-sign him, and I think that would be a great deal.
