Fire the GM. He has failed at his job all year and not done a single trade to change the roster and improve this crappy product.

Nothing else to say.

PK Subban on the opening basically said that the team has too many guys who are the same and he doesn't see it working.

Don Sweeney has accomplished something truly remarkable here. A team chaulk full of two-way forwards, grinders, two-way D-men and defensive D-men that absolutely sucks at defending.

I genuinely don’t understand the lack of “action”.

Jacob’s/Neely, from what I’ve seen, have not come out and backed Sweeney at all. But he’s still here. Which leaves me to wonder if they’re keeping the leash tight and not letting him try and fix this. And if that’s the case then move the f*** on from him and SELL!!!!

I for one will completely lose my sanity if the trade deadline comes and goes, Sweeney is still here and not a thing has been done to this roster.

Well said.

A team of mediocrity players, culture, leadership, skill, drive, coaching, development, system and future.

While fans pay a PREMIUM price and the players are paid to the cap.

100% failure as a GM creating the team.

Scrap all trade ideas. Don't buy or sell.

Fire.

Today is the trade deadline. If they are STUPID enough to bring this roster back after the break they will be a lottery team by the actual trade deadline.

Mediocrity. That is the Bruins culture and team to it's core.

Nothing to do with the BS penalty call on him today, but what is the infatuation with Beecher.

He’s played in over 90% of their games and brings very, very little to the table.

I mean, it’s not even like he’s developing into something and getting better as the year goes on.

The more I see him the less potential I see.

Just a waste of a apot, IMO.

My first thought when the goal was called back was that might be the call that saves the season.

Then when they scored right after I knew that was the sign they need to sell!

Time to break up the band! It’s over!

Friedman mentioned on 32 thoughts yesterday he could see a team like the Caps adding to their current third line as it’s been inconsistent.

Sweeney has shown at times he will go back to the well with trade partners. And one guy I look at on that team that they’d probably like to offload so they can add as it hasn’t really worked out thus far is Mangiapane.

He’s a UFA after this season too so you’re not committed to the 5.8 outside of this season if he continues to stink.

i.e

Frederic for Mangiapane + 2nd for taking his whole salary.

Something like that. You move a guy you’re concerned about signing. Maybe Mangiapane sticks around beyond this season. Maybe not. You still get a 2nd or some pick.

Just get charlie 9.5 million out of here somehow. Open up that capspace. Send him to philly for drysdale or something. Get him out . When your paid that number you score game winning goals or prevent last minute goals . I thought he was a mcdonagh clone hes not even 20 percent of him.

It will be stand path imo, Sweeny think this is only a bad year and injurys are big part of this pathetic line up. He will extend Marchy Freddy Geekie Wahlstrom all the kit!!! Next year is the one

The only thing that makes vague sense is that the ownership group has already decided to gas Sweeney but don’t want to do it in front of the NHL’s shiny new tournament (missing stars and all).

In the meantime they’ve accepted this season being a wash and told Sweeney to sit in his hands until the offseason when he’s shown the door.

Or none of that is true. And they’re just mentally hanging on that this team is somehow going to flip a switch and become competitive. Which is lala land delusional.

To be fair, I also like to hit the hooch early in the day sometimes so who knows

I get that there’s a difference between a rebuild and a re-tool.

My biggest fear is that they somehow split the difference and do a half assed version of both.

I don’t know exactly how to describe what that would look like, but I’m pretty sure we’ll know if it happens.

I don’t necessarily think Sweeney has been a bad GM overall, but he’s been through 4 coaches already in 9 seasons, has blown a few drafts, and outside of 2018-9, his teams haven’t made it out of the 2nd round. Seems to have a very long leash from the front office for some reason though.

I have no problem giving him credit for all the good, he’s done…..and there is a lot of it, TBH.

I just think in sports, as we know, coaches and GM’s tend to have a shelf life and I think it’s time for a new vision.

They’re really not that far off but imo It needs to start with a change in the front office. Sweeney had 10 years and hasn’t been able to add a legit top 6 forward other than Jake.

32 trades. None by Boston. But people still say trades are difficult to make during the regular season.

Look at some of those names up above that were moved this year alone.
