Boston Bruins 24-25 Roster/Cap thread XV

You have people complaining in this thread that they take too many low ceiling safe bets. And you have people complaining when they take a swing at a guy that if he hits, he can hit big. Tough job.
Soon as I read this Zach Synyshyn jumped in my mind 😳

Thank you for the encouraging report.

Letourneau may not become a scoring machine, but like most centers, he'll post his share of assists.

"A big strong two-way 3rd line center"?

I would be well satisfied with that.
Joel Otto type player even be nice

So they should have gone with a nice safe low ceiling high floor player like Beecher or Frederick?

Honestly now is the time they need to gamble most in my book. DL may or may not work out, but I was thrilled to see them swing for the fences.

I wouldn't compare one of those prospects to Frederic or Beecher, and if you need to hit on a forward prospect very soon I don't see how you can take a gamble on one that is at least 4-5 years away from helping the current team. Still I want to Letourneau to succeed but the bustometer is already swinging in the wrong direction.

Nor sure how you can come to that conclusion 20 games in

Not difficult, two had already played in their mens league before they were drafted and did very well, the other was already known as an offensive dynamo who is really killing it this season and the last one is a scorer and a captain in his junior league with great size and this already since the age of 16.

Again, I absolutely route for Dean to succeed and I see that the Bruins were/are impressed by his skating ability at his size but he mostly put up points because he played in this lower league and was just too big for those other kids. Still I am looking forward what he capable to do in the next season.
