Can't say I agree with this- muddying what waters? The Bruins roster situation is far from clear in many spots right now. They called up Callahan and Lysell already, so clearly management wants to see more from those guys as they go out west. Difficult? Maybe, but this is the NHL, it's always difficult and I don't really see the harm in playing some prospects. It is not as if there is a losing mentality in the room right now, and the team will be back on track next season to be a playoff club. They need to see what they have in some of these players before they go spend millions on the market or give up assets over the summer- the answer could be right in their own system.

Totally agree with you.
The only hope we have is that is comes back and plays like he did in his 17 game season for us this year, then off load him.
He is 31YO.

Bruins need to stop signing guys the age and caliber of Hampus and Elias to 7-8 year deals. Are either one still in the NHL come age 35 or 36? I doubt it.

5 more years left at 6.5 million per. If you can get out of that contract without enduring any pain (i.e. coughing up high draft picks, buy-outs, retention) the Bruins should be all over it. Fully recovered or not.
What do you think his replacement is costing, and I would hope for a player that can fill his shoes, I do not need any more Ian Mitchells

JDB got 5.5M a year, I hope we can sign Geekie for something like 4 x 4.
He needs to take a discount as he is playing with Pasta.
He needs to take what he can live with, with the understanding that he can produce without Pasta, when needed. Is 4x 4 a fair contract, looks good to me , but what terms go with that. Next question do you think he can be a player here with or without Pasta, I think he can, who knows for sure.

Well when they are paying him 3.5 million in 2029-30 to sit on the couch at home after his buy-out don't complain.

Do really believe that to happen, if healthy, not happening :D

Unfortunately yes I do. His footspeed already wasn't the greatest and that was before this knee injury. Remember Dennis Seidenberg? Once he came back from a major leg injury he could still play and was healthy enough to do so, but wasn't anywhere close to the same caliber of player. Even next season it's probably unrealistic to expect Hampus to hit the ground running after being off all this time. I thought he was an eventual buy-out candidate before he serious injured.

You are hitting on the right concerns, I am talking more if he is healthy, and if he is not the same player than he will be hard to move. I have great concern that he will have much of a career left, he suffered a very serious injury, and to be honest, I have a lot concerns about Mc Avoy, that is why, and I know they need forwards, but I also think they should be in the market for some D.

Hampus is much more dependent on his skating than Seids as well.

That knee might never be the same.If he performs well early I would try to move him .If not then we're screwed 😆

If you could get Chych, then heck, why not try it depending on the return, he would cost more but is younger, very mobile, and puts up points. Certain teams would go nuts to have a guy like Hampus so I feel like there would be suitors. Chychrun, Lohrei, and Zadorov would be a good left side.

I was open to Chychrun last summer, thought initially he'd be part of the Ullmark return. But he was a shade over 4 million. Then they signed Zadorov.

Now, he's 3rd in the NHL in goals by D-men. Playing on a team with the league's best shooting %. His own shooting % is a career high (12%) which is almost double his shooting % the past 3 seasons and 2% higher than his best previous year in Arizona (10% in the shortened 2021 season).

Which Chychrun are you getting? The 2021/2025 version, or the 2022/2023/2024 version? He'll get a lot of coin this summer and he'll be overpaid if the buyer gets the 2022-2024 version.
