I was just having fun. I agree. I’d like to see as many Kastelic’s (and I was very down on that trade) on our bottom six (or at least three on our 4th line) as possible. Hard work, edgy, physical guys who can chip in offense can play on my team any day.

They should make Freddy room with Kastelic.
Freddy...sigh....has everything it takes but like a lot of 20 somethings these days I just think he's been spoon fed through life (not saying he's not tough ..he is) ....just doesn't have the 24/7 hunger to win and dominate.... high level sustained compete seems the rare trait these day .....likely a result of the money they can make early on these days ....I could be wrong, someone liek Dom would have to weigh in who has studied the game through a few generations....but my guess is high level compete was not an issue decades ago with skill being more rare ...that being said I'd still try to reup Freddy for a reasonable contract...I do think Zad is getting in his ear this year and holding him more accountable on the push back front ...another intangible for a guy like Zad

DiPietro looks awesome in NHL all star game. Good timing. Hopefully some GM’s watching and wondering why their prospects can’t put one by him.

Not commenting on Zegras because I just dont know enough.

But, that he’s no Marc Savard, is no sin. As you say, Saavy was a beast and a warrior. Sadly, maybe too much of a warrior.

Hope Matt Cooke has a nasty two week flu and is endlessly loosing out of both ends at same time. Absolute scum.
Savard had a really bad reputation coming to Boston too as a slacker and a guy with an ego. Talk about a great addition in the end who wanted to be part of a winning culture.

In his defense, Zegras has been good since coming back from injury, 12 points in 14 games.

Which injury. He returned from 6-7 weeks off on 1/21 and has 1 goal and 3 assists in 6 games since then

If you look at his last 15 games which goes back to November 15, then you do have 15 games played with 4 goals and 7 assists

Does Korpisalo have some value now and is there a playoff team looking for a backup? They could give DiPietro a shot and extend him based on that.

Like Mick said on the podcast yesterday Lindholm is on his 3rd team/system in a little over a year. I think once he gets more settled in he'll start performing better.

Then again I could be wrong, it's happened once before.......
Actually I said it. Many of times.

And it's 3rd team, 4th coach and 4th system.

Same with Zadorov although I think his issues are not the same.

I’m team Lindholm ~ he does much more then given credit but it’s tough to pay attention with iPhones. I stopped having in live or rewatch. I’m guilty as charged

I expect him 60 point player best season

Ottawa could win the division so I see why the Bruins are hanging around

Bruins sweep next 3 games even with shitty goal differential and blown out seems once a week they are 103 point team in Sacco’s 36 games

they got hammered by Winnipeg who look great but they are Winnipeg

If Chara has any weight (doubtful) they aren’t trading Marchand for 5 week vacation ~ can’t see them walking away from him

Saturday was one of those 2010-2016 games I couldn’t keep my eyes off Brad. Every shift he was doing something good or looked capable of getting in a fight or crossing the line for a suspension

He’s definitely my L2 LW going forward in 25-26 and beyond

Next 5 days are big where there mind set is

Gotta get 4 points minimum

I'd base my trade around Zegras for Lohrei.
Both similar ages. Boston has a core D of McAvoy-Lindholm-Carlo-Zadorov for the foreseeable future. Peeke signed through 25-26. If one thing has been apparent, it's the lack of high end skill in the top 6. Adding Zegras to play with Pasta and Zacha would be huge. Money doesn't work with just those two involve so we'd have to flip someone else, potentially Coyle or Freddy in a side deal for picks/prospects.

Surprised how many people have done a 180 on Zegras. He really makes the most sense as a buy low candidate.

In regards to the risk, are there really any players who had back to back 60 point seasons before the age of 22 and then "showboated" their way out of the league? I think he would be the first..

The injury history concerns me the most so I think it's pretty valid if the price just isn't worth it but it just seems much more likely that Zegras matures out of it (if he hasn't already). I don't think anyone is going to mistake him for a young Bergeron but damn I think if any of us could beat an NHL goalie with a michigan at his age, we would do the same thing

I think you immerse him in the culture of playing two way hockey, with a focus on cup aspirations and team play and he'll flourish here. He definitely could use a change of scenery/coaching to revitalize him. This isn't unheard of around the league.

He is the EXACT type of player that would be a dynamic playmaker on the opposite half wall of Pasta on the PP. We need a player with his skill badly.
What is the offer for him? Starting with Freddy?

He comes here how long, before they complete the 360 with him.
