Because I loved the signing and was really excited about it and thought he was going to be a critical part of a team that was going to be good
I hated the signing, but we can still be friends, but I must warn you need to start listening to me, I am the smartest guy in a small room.:wg:

Speaking with more than one source, I do get the sense the Bruins have kept tabs on the situation with the Nashville Predators. As I wrote about last week, the Predators are preparing to sell off some pieces – both in the way of rentals and those with a year left on their deals – between now and the trade deadline. While I can’t speak to any specific player the Bruins may have had interest in, one source did say the Bruins are “looking at center and some skill on the wing.”

It’s unclear what exactly the future holds for the Bruins and if they do actually embark on a retool, but I don’t get the sense that it will be strictly gutting their own roster. Bruins management is clearly keeping tabs on available players around the league and seem prepared to pounce at the opportunity to “improve their team,” as one person said to me. A “retool” is subjective, and in the Bruins’ case, it may just be a bit of a roster overhaul while trying to remain competitive.

I'm not sure what it'll will cost, but I'm thinking its more than what Sweeney may want to give up, thats if Miller even waives to come to Boston.. The Canucks aren't out of it so more than likely their going to want Zacha/Coyle as part of the return, plus a prospect (Lysell/merk) and a top 6 defenseman (Carlo) I think in the end you have to ask does it put the Bruins in the playoffs and deep. No certainity there.

I think Sweeney is in a wait and see mode and won't do anything till its close to the deadline, He has one foot in the buy door and the other in the sell, so once he decodes in which direction he chooses JT could be long gone. We'll see, but either way I dont feel the Bruins have the assets to compete for a JT Miller and Miller may have told the Nucks its the Rangers and thats it.
Yep, Miller could nix a deal to Boston and it is possible that Sweeney decides he can't pay the price because while the roster players won't break the bank, he may draw a line between giving up our 1st or one of our few good prospects.

Fwiw, we know that Miller hasn't told Vancouver "it's the Rangers and that's it" because Carolina has been talking to him directly. That doesn't happen without his permission.

I don't love the thinking that says if this 1 guy doesn't get us to the finals then we shouldn't do the deal. He gets us a step closer. He can be part of a quick re-tool.

I do agree that they are waiting to see where the team is at the deadline, but I think people are going to be disappointed with the difference between what a re-tool means to them and what it means to the front office.

This isn't true though.

Monty got fired on November 29th. From the start of the season to that point we had played 24 games and in those games Zadorov had a 50% CF%, 54% xG%, and a 53% SCF%.

Since Sacco took over we have played 26 games where Zadorov has a 45% CF%, 44% xG%, 44% SCF%.

Analytically he really just has not been very good, him being on the ice for a bunch of empty net goals pumping up his +/- doesn't change that.
Start of the season under Montgomery he was their #3 defenseman behind two guys who get Norris votes. Right now he's playing their #1.

we shouldve signed DeAngelo

I always saw something in him, size, speed, young good like you mentioned in the dot, and young, but I have to say he is a bit of a disappointment this year, maybe my expectations were to high. Who knows still young enough to get together, here or some place else.
Ideally, I would like to keep John Beecher. But they'll probably either cut him loose for peanuts or bury him in Providence.

How about Cole Perfetti. Kind of lost in Winnipeg but definitely has the skill. Is a true C as well. Frederic for Perfetti? Jets need some snarl(pretend it’s last years Fred). These are the types they should be targeting imo.
Hmmm I like. Fair trade. We could use speed and play making ability. Good find.

He's a dime a dozen player. I don't think he does anything well other than win the odd faceoff. I've seen a better set of hands on a digital clock.

disagree. He wouldve helped the powerplay. Helped with breakouts. And wouldve gotten carlo off the ice when Mcavoy got back. Plus only 775K
I think the bruins have found their PP QB, in lohrei. Their pp has gotten a lot better as of late. The puck movement is so much better than when McAvoy was there. If anything they need another sniper someone who can put the puck in the net, but im thinking it'll be just a matter of time until the goals start coming.

WWJD?

"Hard pass, man."

To paraphrase Theodore Roosevelt in another context entirely, "I can fix the Bruins or run the country.

"I cannot do both."

Results.
Lots!! This team needs a legit #1C. I believe it would change the whole complexity of this team. Also need consistency in net. Injuries don’t help.
