Whatever they do, they need to try and get another 1st and gain a 2nd. Draft for scoring with the 1sts and get a solid D prospect with the 2nd.

Use some combination of Coyle, Carlo, Frederic to get those additional picks

Why is it this season that every time this team gets shamefully blown out of a game, people flood these threads demanding change and accountability??

Like this has to be the 20th time already this year and every time it’s the same thing with you all.
Leave 2 tickets on your dash & someone will break the windows and leave you 2 more with them :biglaugh:

The way I see it, you trade Carlo and Frederic together for a major top six forward and a bottom pairing D. Basically a shifting of assets, Carlo gets downgraded so that Frederic can be upgraded. Maybe Buffalo for Cozens and Jokiharju?
I need to go look up the cap part first b4 I can like this.Cozens making like 7 million I think off top my head.
OK, i looked& its like a 4 million difference with Freddy and Jokiharju both free agents to be.I can't see Buffalo doing this deal without an extension with Freddy in place but been wrong b4.

Trade Marchand
Trade Frederic
Trade Carlo

Give Lysell and Merk legit shots.

None of this will happen because Cam and Don are obsessed with grinding hockey over skill.

With Marchand as I always say IMO it's up to him, but those conversations should at least be occurring. Otherwise yeah Carlo and Frederic should be getting shopped heavily. Coyle too.

My keepers are Pasta, Sway and Hampus Lindholm. Probably McAvoy too but if they did want to really shake up the inner core he's the one to go IMO. That's IF.

I would happily see Elias Lindholm moved, but so soon after signing a long-term deal it seems extremely unlikely. Zadorov I'm not too fussed about. Overpaid but ok. Again, probably not going anywhere at this point.

Would prefer to keep Zacha, Geekie, Kastelic and Lohrei. Zacha annoys me in some ways but he is an overall solid and versatile player who works pretty well with Pasta and is on a decent deal. Lohrei remains a project but I still really like the upside and I back him in.

The rest I'm not too bothered about either way. Poitras is a good, smart kid with talent but the question marks on him at the top level are still there, IMO. If someone has a good offer involving him I'm listening. Need to see more of Lysell before making a call there. Bruins' management themselves don't seem convinced though which is not a great sign.

They need a 1C, a top 6 winger (probably a 2RW), a solid, dependable 2RD who is not Carlo, some speed and some grit/mental toughness. That's asking for a lot in the space of one deadline and an offseason. Do they have the pieces and cap space to make it happen? Probably unlikely, but if you're serious about a quick re-tool and trying to bounce straight back next year, you need to tick at least most of those boxes to have a good chance of executing it effectively. It's going to be a real challenge, if they try it at all.

Thanks. And yeah, quite so. Their assessment on Lysell might be inaccurate. Or perhaps they actually do rate him higher than I think, and they're just playing the long game. Either way, I really feel it's in the team's interests at this point to give him a proper run in Boston soon.
