Replace Wahlstrom with Merkulov on line 3 ?
Doesn't matter both probably have same impact. I'm kinda warming to wahlstrom these days he has been noticable and put up a point today.

I think you get that and then some for tfred, but I’d just as soon keep him.
Bad asset management if you keep him unless Donny signs him. I think he loves the player and might get extension done .

Penguins apparently having a fire sale and willing to retain on Karlsson. Could help solve some of our PP issues. Maybe move Carlo in another trade for top 6 help and bring Karlsson in?

Don't love his age but for the right retention surely it's worth a try?

+1. Miller is a great player and we need a #1 C badly. There's some baggage but worth the risk
Interesting Both Lindsay and the Grim Reaper (Grimson) would rather have Miller over Pettersson.

Sam Bennett act has caught up with him. Opposing coaches and referees are pointing out/watching him

Opposing players are targeting him

He looks and is playing like shit

Verhaughe is not playing well this year

Panthers are in total cruise mode. Nothing about their play now matters, as long as they don't completely fall off a cliff, and they know it. Like every other Cup winner, they need to manage their energy.

Verhaeghe is a playoff stud (who BTW still has more points this year than any Bruins except Pasta and Marchand), Bennett a playoff pain in the ass. Postseason is where these guys truly make their mark, and where we'll see whether they've still got it or they are indeed a bit busted up. It's very hard to back up, no guarantees. But we won't know much about what shape Florida are truly in until the spring.

Question: isn't the 2025 draft class considered to be weak/top heavy? If so, maybe instead of draft picks we target unproven drafted prospects with pedigree if we are in sell mode? Or sign our UFAs and trade them with term next year ...as long as we don't handout NMC and NTC like candy. Anyway, might not be the best year to have a lot of draft picks in late round 1 and beyond from what I understand
Yes, I have heard a couple of draft gurus talking about it now and both said it is the weakest draft in 26 years. Moving this first round pick seems like a good idea, even if it is for additional picks next year.

Our pick will be in the low teens. If they do their homework, they can find someone very good. They absolutely must get younger along with better.

I really don't care for several of their players now such as TF, Beecher, Zadorov, the whole bottom part of their lineup really. Better to get a couple of middling picks and maybe you find someone.

I been watching and Bennett has been ass

My cousin who is a transplanted Bruins fan and living in Florida last 30 years has Panthers season tickets for years is coming up for the game in March v Panthers. He probably will wear Panthers stuff to game. I’ll get a good summation of Panthers since he goes to pretty much every game and still suits up in a beer league.

I haven’t taken a deep dive yet but when I get my monthly Red Line, Kyle Woodlief says it’s pretty weak - way behind last year

There are good centers though

2017 was supposed to be weak and Norris & Thomas were there when Boston picked 18 so that looks like the area 8-18 they pick without big run

I don't disagree. But right now it doesn't mean anything. The Panthers are in that rarefied happy air where the regular season is little more than a long warmup while they wait for the real hockey to begin. They're clearly not playing at their best at the moment and they'd be foolish to try. Energy has to be conserved. Teams in their position usually don't try and really start to pick up the pace until after the all star break. When your cousin visits in mid-March then yeah that'll probably be the time to start to get a proper sense of where they're at. We'll see if they can still flick that switch when they need to or if they do have any genuine issues. Their recent play doesn't tell us too much on that one way or the other.

I really wish the Bruins would give the following line up a whirl before they decide if they're buyers or sellers:

Geekie-Zacha-Pasta
Marchy-Poitras-Coyle
Freddy-Lindholm-Lysell
Beecher-Kastelic-Brazeau

Lindy-McAvoy
Lohrei-Carlo
Zaddy-Peeke
Yes this is exactly what I want too!

Pretty good. I’d like to see Merkulov somewhere in there but can’t complain about this with what they have currently in the organization

We're back in baby!!!
The professor has them right where he wants them. Enter the POs as the 8th seed. They won't suspect a thing. Playing chess while the others are playing checkers.

Tomorrow’s game against NJ is huge. They need to show up and come out with 2 points if they want to have any hope of climbing the standings.

You don't need to do any homework when drafting in the first round. All you have to do is follow TSN draft board and pick the player that is available at that pick.

It isn't that hard really. Bob Mackenzie 2015 draft TSN board had the following rankings with players that were available to draft. Aside from Zboril which was kind of the consensus mid first round pick look at what was missed MULTIPLE TIMES!
