See that’s the motte and Bailey argument. “He just wants to win and he plays hard why wouldn’t you want guys like that?”

It’s completely inaccurate. Sweeney doesn’t even need to talk to Elias and Zad - everyone in the league knows the guy is an asshole.
Do they now.

The one thing that I've (and others) have noted is that when everyone is looking left, Sweeney pulls a move on the right (and vice versa).
The move(s) that he makes in the next several weeks will most likely be moves that few if any see coming.
Most here arguing about Miller, but once Miller goes to the Rangers for (probably) Kreider or Zib and we'll be standing here with egg on our faces.
I know that it's somewhat anxiety inducing but
IMO we're going to be surprised by what happens.

Why would anyone here have egg on their face if and when Miller gets traded somewhere else?

What exactly does Miller bring other than costing the team goals and being a malcontent?
He scored 37 goals last year, 103 points and was +32, and all he does is "cost goals?"

Saying the only thing he does is cost the team goals tells me the only video you've watched of JT Miller are the angry YouTube clips about him.

Did you see Pasta backcheck against Ottawa when he turned the puck over at the blue line? Did you see Marchand backcheck when he took a bad angle against Brock Nelson in OT and Nelson scored the game winner on a breakaway. It happens to everyone.

Is anyone reporting the Bruins as an interested party?

Well totally false. Word from a lot of people who actually work in the industry say that a lot is over blown. Nhl radio, the fan sports 360 with former scout and guests on show all said they would take him in a heart beat.

Id rather have an ahole than someone like Carlo or Lindholm who's too passive.

Elias must be open to returning to Vancouver.

Fredric in a hockey trade when we'd lose him in free agency makes all the sense in the world his contributions the rest of this season won't make or break us getting the 8 seed. Don't let him walk for nothing.
I don't want a head case like Miller. I agree about the passivity, however.

Fredric packaged with John Beecher and a decent prospect should yield good return.

Whatever else he is, Frederic is not a difference maker.

You might say the same of carlo, but I would be careful about dealing him. He does a lot of things well and he has a great stick in terms of disruption. He's also a leader. You should wear an eye. Rather than david. That's just my two cents.

Bruins don't have a 2nd or 4th next draft so they best be careful including any more picks with this type roster

Well, facts are facts score sheets don’t lie. Fans don’t like a player or the way they play or what the believe, they get a special hate for a player. If Miller was so bad he would be gone. Problem with Miller is he is a fantastic hockey player. Watch him play. The guy is also money when it counts in the playoffs. If people think his contestant is to long look at Lindholm. That is one of the worst in the league. 8 million is a steal for Miller. No signs of slowing down. If we have a chance to get him we should do all we can to do so.

The Hockey News had an article on it, Frank Serevali talked about it on his show, David Pagnotta at The Fourth Period has a Deadline Trade List and has the Bruins as one of the teams interested...
Are they giving personal opinions or are they saying sources saying type thing? Thanks

I don't think his off-ice stuff should be dismissed. There's enough smoke there for it to be something, but what and to what extent is impossible to know. Vancouver's own GM didn't throw Miller under the bus for the drama with Pettersson, he threw Pettersson, saying he's immature. The Rangers had Miller, they know exactly who and what he is, and they're trying desperately to get him back.

So again, I don't think it should be dismissed as nothing, but it's hard for me personally to say I know he's a bad guy or I know he'll be a problem when I don't really know what the real deal is.

Well this is so well said. It really is true we don’t know. All I know is we don’t have the extra assets to get a young #1 C. He is the best player available and we need him. Sure it could go bad but things are not great the way it sits. I think he will help to turn things around. With guys coming back from injuries we could be a surprise team.

Honestly, I've never put stock into the soap opera type rumors. I know people accept it as fact that, for example, Tyler Seguin slept with players wives and daughters, but I just feel like it's all hearsay. So I'm probably not the best person to make player decisions based on that kind of stuff (good or bad), I just don't give it a lot of weight in the equation.

Guy wouldn't fit into a locker room where the captain has already been berated by one coach on live TV for lack of effort who later got fired and benched by an interim coach for total lack of discipline and effort.

Thankfully the Bruins didn't listen to public perception or rumors about the kind of teammate and player Nathan Horton was. Most times a change of scenery is all that's needed.

I have yet to read anything from a legitimate source that says Miller is a locker room cancer. He’s getting Taylor Hall’d by these boards. There were people here who were actually upset that the Bs traded for Hall.

If we’re going to play the speculative game- maybe it’s he’s cut from the same “old school” cloth ala Marchy and hands it to guys when they need to hear it? And EP has had it and he’s VANs future?

Ryan O’Reilly was another. He’s a locker room Cancer. He leaves wins a cup and now he’s commended for his leadership.
Some fans read an article and automatically judges that player as being a bad Apple, while having no clue on what kind of person he really is.

Yeah the second he gets traded here you will see the patented HF Bruins board fish flopping in all it's beauty.
