I agree but dam that Center im sure would like to come to Boston and play with Pasta, not to be traded for him and who the hell would score goals.I wouldn't be. You have to give to get and elite goal scorer vs elite center, I think center wins every time as the more important player.
Pasta for Pettersson…. Hmmm.
Everyone wants them to play together. What if?
Would this trigger other game changing moves? Opportunities for Lysell and Poitras?
Pettersson? Isn’t he a Swede - along with Lysell?
Poitras also playing the right wing since a spot has been vacated… or share that with Coyle?
Not sure anything improves really - just moves the problems around and gives the team a giant kick in the ass.
He was the first tough contract Sweeney had since he's been here, and that's a testament to him. You’ve made a giant leap that after years and years of not doing anything behind the scenes through the media , and in fact coming out and saying things directly at a press conference, that the team uses Keefe as a mouthpiece now.
I honestly don’t think nationality matters. Although bruins do seem to collect check players.Pasta for Pettersson…. Hmmm.

Robbing Peter to pay Paul.No. It’s when they deal Pasternak.
Would we be mad if they traded Pasta for pettersson?
Carlo is very valuable.Too bad Jim Benning isn't their GM because that would be highway robbery by the Bruins. Regardless of being a fit or not, imagine getting a point per game center for Charlie Coyle, who is basically a cap dump, and a serviceable #3/4D.

Trading Pasta, imo I don't see. Marchand a possibility giving he'll be a UFA and the current status of the team.Best friends off the ice…
It’s fun to speculate but the truth is a notable trade involving a player of Pasta’s calibre only happen in the off season.
I expect a trade of the Trent Frederic or Justin Brazeau variety. Adjust the deck chairs and hope for the best.
Not valuable enough to get a #1C as the main piece of the deal.Carlo is very valuable.

I just had to look up who Rich Keefe was.I just had to look up what Rich Keefe said. Wow.
Although I have a hard time believing Pasta flat out told the team to not put him on a line with Marchand. Could there be a rift there between the two players though? Absolutely. Where there is smoke there is fire.
As much as I get the calls from people to trade him, one thing that has struck me about Carlo is what I believe to be signs of good leadership skills. Much like others on here have said. Every interaction with the media, and what little I can pick up from on ice interactions/demeanor, he strikes me as someone who can say the right things and rally a team. I've long been a believer that a captain doesn't not need to be one of the best players on the team.I think that's part of the problem with this team. McAvoy and Pasta are not great leaders. Some people have natural leadership qualities, call it a kind of charisma if you like, and people follow them and would go through a wall for them. Despite their other positive qualities, I don't think McAvoy and Pasta are those kind of people. And I even wonder about Marchand sometimes.
Who knows if that report is true, or just media muckraking, but if any player, Pasta included, has a problem being held accountable, then that's a problem for the team.
It was Zadorov, not Carlo. On the "Pucks With Haggs" podcast posted yesterday, Haggerty and New England Hockey Journal editor Evan Maranofsky pointed to a lack of leadership from ostensible Assistant Captains Charlie McAvoy and David Pastrnak.
After the lifeless loss to the Oilers, media types requested comment from Bruins leadership.
Charlie Coyle and Branden Carlo, neither of whom wear an A, stepped in to address questions.
McCavoy and Pastrnak were nowhere to be seen.
What does this tell you?
If I'm best friends with someone off the ice I'm looking to play on his team and line as much as I canBest friends off the ice…

Boston sports media if you want to call it that blows big chunks, useless people with microphonesThis is way more interesting than the game I watched last night. Of course the game last night help make this way more interesting…
It didn’t take long for this to be addressed.
He is trying to bring attention to himselfKeefe is the new Jimmy Murphy as the master of hearing 25 percent of something and making it 100 percent of something else in his own mind.
It was Zadorov, not Carlo.
Coyle came out first. Then Zadorov. Marchand came out last and took all questions.
