And on we go…..
Why do you hate to say it?I hate to say it but I think they have to keep Coyle with Lindholm. When Lindholm is the only defensive presence on a line, they get caved in. When Coyle is on that line it helps share the load. They matchup against top lines (like Coyle and Marchand did last year) and can still generate scoring chances.
March-Lindholm-Coyle has a 59.1 xG% which is second best on the team (to Beecher-Kastelic-Koepke), and that line has scored four goals 5on5, and allowed none, again, against top lines.
He kind of fits Sweeney. M.O. Cheap and not the greatest end to end speed.Do the Bruins claim Kaliyev?
Waive Sweeney or I mean resign asap or whatever he has to do to relieve himself of his future duties. Then waive wahlstrom.
I wasn’t on the claim Wahlstrom train so yeah, I’d rather take a look at Kaliyev.Do the Bruins claim Kaliyev?
lee spent the summer working with adam oates. definitely paid off.I wasn’t on the claim Wahlstrom train so yeah, I’d rather take a look at Kaliyev.
Anders Lee sure looked good tonight. Big, strong, scored a hat trick…
Always liked Lee big strong and skilled 9 time 20 goal scorer with a 40 goal season thrown in there, and a leader. He has one year left after this one at 7 mil. M-NTC I’m sure he would come to Boston but what’s the cost.I wasn’t on the claim Wahlstrom train so yeah, I’d rather take a look at Kaliyev.

Because I know a lot of folks can't stand Coyle on the 2nd line. Why do you hate to say it?
Even without the benefit of the stats, you can tell it’s (for this team anyway) an effective deployment.
They have a good foundation so a retool makes more sense than a full rebuild. They need to trade away players that don't have a long-term future on this team.Yeah, no more band-aid solutions: they should be on sell mode and go full rebuild.

It’s a wild one tooLooks like Vatrano is off the market. Just signed an extension with Anaheim.
I feel the same way about Lee, but he's never getting traded. He's a guy who loves playing for the Islanders despite it not currently being the 1980s. Also been their captain for quite a while now.Always liked Lee big strong and skilled 9 time 20 goal scorer with a 40 goal season thrown in there, and a leader. Just wish they could turn the 3rd line into a scoring line if Marchand/Lindholm/Coyle becomes a shutdown line.
I’d be curious what people would want to turn the “???” into if you lock into the following:
Geekie Zacha Pasta
Marchand Lindholm Coyle
??? ??? ???
Beecher Kastelic Koepke
Ideally this line is another 2nd line since they don’t have a top notch first line offensively. This is the line that has to make teams pay for loading up on Pasta.
Frederic, Brazeau, Wahlstrom, and the AHLers.
Any two of those names seem like you can add another name to and make it a scoring line? I see a few guys who could be the worst guy on the line. I don’t see any pairs for the 24-25 season. Maybe you hope the kids can be there in 25-26?
Or maybe you could put one of the AHL kids and Brazeau with a legit first line player (that could also provide a left shot on the PP, perhaps). Is that enough? Are there options outside of the Canucks to try to find that?
