Don Sweeney is not digging out of this mess without a tank and high draft picks or sell-off and retooling. What a train wreck he built .Holes everywhere.

McAvoy is the only guy you can trade and retool the franchise with. Otherwise they will attempt to make it as a WC every time with this ownership\Mgt Group.

You rarely see them but a three way between the Nucks and Buffalo make a lot of sense. Buffalo needs a RHD and a C, they are done accumulating prospects. Canucks are looking for a C back in a trade. It's basically three teams looking for "hockey trades"

Canucks: Dylan Cozens (7.1)
Buffalo: Brandon Carlo, Charlie Coyle (9.35)
Bruins: J.T Miller (8.0)

Obviously picks/prospects even things out but as a base it's something

Gross return for Buffalo, come on dude.

It’s because there are two trains of thought running the FO. Two ideas muddling up things. They need to do something about that.

Detroit has won four in a row and sometimes new coach bounce combined with prospects can really help..Ask the 2019 Blues about the new coach bounce.

Sell, Sell, Sell.

You seem stuck in the last century.
He'll make more money playing the first round (and done) of the POs the next three years, than missing the playoffs the next three years (rebuild). But he'll never win the cup.

This team is doomed to a decade of mediocrity. They have no prospects, maybe 2 good young players. Their core for the future is Pasta, regressing McAvoy and Swayman. I guess I would count the Lindholms too, since you have them for a while.
They, at least, have some picks now, but if they continue to be middle of the road, those mid round picks probably won't make an impact they need.

You mean Krecji and Bergeron aren't showing up on his doorstep, willing to play for pennies? :)

Pasta better not be risking an permanent injury for a bubble team. He has not missed a game so that excuse does not line up to me at all. If he is playing injured again, fire the team physician, shut him down and heal it. There is no reason to gamble his future. This team is at not a contender.

Can we trade him to the Rangers for Schneider and Cuylle and maybe a first pick + attach Frederic with him??

That would be nice but doubt Ranger do it.
