I thought it was a bone mass in his thigh. I could be way off on that. Memory can be a weird thing.

YOU ARE CORRECT:

However, his career would take a turn in the summer of 1984 when he was diagnosed with a benign tumor in his shoulder. He returned for only 22 games in the 1984–85 season, posting 12 points, before a second, more serious surgery had to be performed on the shoulder. This procedure required the removal of part of his shoulder muscle, and forced him to miss the remainder of the season.

It was a tumor on his bicep and shoulder. He was done.
That was Cam.

Calcification I believe

Correct.

Can we change the thread title to "ye olde roster and ancient banter"?

Yeah, lets move on to ‘24-‘25 please

Newton, MA.
Mr Howe, you are one of my favorite posters. McLaughlin sucks. He’s just a plug in until someone else comes along. I was hoping Wahlstrom was going to play every day, maybe now he will?
I think, FWIW, that McLaughlin has a relatively high ceiling.

Intangibles like genuine like effort, team guy, etc. I would keep him.

Not certain who you would cut loose in his place.

The bone mass you are probably are thinking of was the injury to Cam Neely.

Bottom line, this team lacks a 1st line. Currently it’s Pastrnak & two 2nd liners.

A 2nd line and two 3rd lines just doesn’t cut it in today’s NHL.

(1st LW) • (1st C) • Pastrnak
Marchand • Lindholm • Coyle
Geekie • Zacha • Poitras
Koepke • Kastelic • Brazeau

Fill in the 2 blanks on the 1st line and you can make some noise in the playoffs

I'm curious what Sweeney's plan was if Brazeau and Koepke didn't establish themselves as top 9 forwards (like the way Max Jones showed he wasn't).

39 18 88
63 28 13
x 11 x
x 47 x

Rough. This also ignores that you have to rely on Coyle/Geekie performing in the top 6, and that Frederic has decided to become useless.

Just asking thoughts here ..What do you think price would be on player like Brock Nelson? UFA to be ,33 yrs old but still some gas in tank.He played well today vs Leafs so kind of caught my eye.

Probably costs a first, and a prospect . He's arguably the top UFA to be on a team that is selling at the deadline, and that is the price for players like that

I like Nelson, but I’d rather go for Kreider in a bigger deal. I’m very surprised that I’m the only one actively campaigning for Kreider.

Think Carlo has a 10 team NTC and Coyle's got 8.

They need an offensive forward for the top 6 and Wortherspoon could step in to Carlo's performance. . . It'd clear out over 9mil in cap space for some real talent.
Carlo played less minutes than both wortherspoon or Peake today.

I think a lot here fear it maybe another Rick Nash move
