The lack of interest in being up a guy like Lysell, or Merkulov, or even Poitras getting sent down, but low end stiffs like Brown, Veil, and the like being given multiple chances should be an indictment on the organization.

You've always been harder on the FO than I have, but I am beginning to come around to your way of thinking after a decade of watching that crew at work with the roster. Sweeney appears to have banked to some extent on the Geek, Freddy, Coyle crew repeating career years. He did bring in E. Lindholm, who I really like as a player and who is really skilled, but they aren't running him with Pasta. Fine if those two don't work together, but they've got no one else. Zacha just isn't at that level. He is a good complementary player with better linemates (like most of them lol).

Trade Frederic to St.Louis, maybe Sundquist or Buchnevich somehow. Send a message.

Call up Lysell and Poitras (2 most skilled prospects). Hope Hampus is back sooner than later.

Honestly, they just suck this year. They may be built for the playoffs but great chance they don't make it. If it takes their best game in almost 25 games to lose to Van 1-0 then not much hope.

This Is not entertaining or enjoyable to watch. If the majority of the team played with passion and intensity then maybe it would be enjoyable.

I'm at the point where I hope the get embarrassed tonight and lose bad. Maybe Jacobs will come out and clean house or maybe Sweeney will come out and do something.

I don’t think this is fair. The team was a disaster and it wasn’t really a good place for the kids to be. Now that they have gotten their shit together, yes, once McLaughlin gets his last shot, they should bring up one of Lysell, Poitras or Merkulov for that 3RW spot.

Sacco had Merk up for his first two games, and they sent him back down. It wouldn't have hurt to keep him around a little longer.

What would the young players do worse than the guys that are playing? Are they going to lose more? They can't buy a f***ing goal. They're a league worst 2.22 goals per game average. I think it's time to stop expecting every skill player to be the second coming of Bergeron and try to take advantage of their skill set while rounding out their overall game.

New Guy/Zacha/Pastrnak
Marchand/Lindholm/Brazeau
Coyle + two of Lysell, Poitras, Geekie, Merkulov, Frederic, Johnson (depending on who is still around post trade)
4th line

That really should be enough for an average offense backed by great D and G that can play playoff hockey. Coyle, Frederic and Zacha ain’t 20 point players. Are they a true cup contender? Not unless “new guy” is their second best forward. But it’s not nearly as dire as folks are acting like. Even with this teams finishing ability, they would have won last night 9/10 times.

It was a toxic environment. If you don’t understand that isn’t a great place to break kids in properly I dunno what to say.

Nope, but they won’t. Prides a hell of a thing at times…
Whose pride are they protecting by not making a call up? Has Lysell forced his way into the lineup with his play this year? I was all for it late last season. I thought he would earn it this season out of camp. Last year he got injured at a bad time this year he has largely underwhelmed. Maybe this is just about opportunity and merit?

All the Lysell supporters still don't get that the organization doesn't like him or his attitude? I agree Poitras should be up, he actually works hard, Lysell not being called up to a team, that is as offensively inept as this one, speaks volumes about the player.

No chance I am adding this year. Gross malfeasance to give up future assets to add to this group IMO. Every five years or so I change up the paint in the house, time for the Bruins to do it as well
I disagree. I like what we have this year. I think we have a pretty solid group that is vastly underperforming and with a few tweaks could be a force. As someone else stated earlier I think this year's team is actually better built for the playoffs than last year's. Almost every single player on this team right now has much more potential than they're showing they just need figure out how to snap out of this and get some cohesiveness as a group. They're disjointed, not geling and not alot of chemistry. Has to be something happen with this group, a moment, a team getaway, a cosmic shift, somehow or someway they need to turn the switch on. They have the potential, we've seen it with almost everyone of these players...im keeping the faith that there is gonna be a turning point and these guys turn on the offense and Swayman becomes a brick wall.... If it doesn't happen by the time they fall completely out of it and it's obvious it won't happen then talk other options but as of now it's still there for the taking. They just need to figure out how to get it.

And yet the same team will let Frederic just coast out there and bring absolutely nothing to the table because he has such a good attitude? Can't make this up anymore. They won't even make him sit a game. At least Geekie sat. Then straight to the top line to continue doing nothing with the rest of them.
Time to call a spade a spade and realize that this team isn't that good. A lot of overachievers last year and now back to where they should be. Pasta forgot how to score and is covered non stop. Marchy is a 3rd liner at this point. Sway hasn't been that great. New additions aren't fitting. List goes on and on. Again either Sweeney remembers he is an NHL GM and does something or the Jacobs come in and clean house. I got one hopes it's the cleaning of the house.

The Athletics NHL players trade value, Pasta is 8 between Quinn Hughes and Bedard, McAvoy is 15 between Matt Tkachuk and Rasmus Dahlin, Swayman 66.

I am not defending how badly this team has been run, I am saying Lysell is a bust.

I think Brazzeau is the perfect opportunity to sell high and get something for a player that cost you nothing.
I like him and he’s a great story but he’s a UFA and likely going to try and cash in on one good year (I don’t blame him).
No trade protection and a 400k cap hit (with retention), he can be traded literally anywhere without having to make the money work. That has value.
Totally respect that opinion, and I won't be made if they do that. My line of thinking is as our team gets better and deeper (hopefully), he is a great mismatch on line 3 especially if you have some other guys with offensive potential.

I need to see him on the second line for at least 10 games before I can declare that. Agree with everything else your saying

Buchnevich will be going up to 8 million for 3 seasons after this one ends .I like him but not at that price.

I think Sundquist would be a good add. Never quits. Polar opposite to Freddy
