You know, it's possibly a stupid idea, but I might be interested in giving Taylor Hall another shot in Boston. He has struggled in Chicago, seems to be on the outs, was injured all last year, etc. He's on an expiring contract.

You'd have to get Chicago to take a good chunk of his AAV and still figure out how to squeeze him into the cap. You're probably coughing up some younger assets to make all this happen (though no #1 or 2 picks of course unless it's an expanded deal of some type).

Anyway, the idea would be to take a shot at adding some offense and hope he comes around. He's known to Boston, seems like a good dude who still cares, and Taylor Hall is still somewhere inside him. It's a 2024 bandaid and it's a gamble but if it doesn't work out, the contract is over soon.

It's not an excuse, it's my complaint as I said.

He should be looking after the team that pays his salary first. To let it get this far is laughable.

But you go on being you Pia.
No one should dispute what you said, you have the salary part right and should add the fans that help pay for that salary......... Sorry Team Canada does not work for me.

I suggested Hall for Geekie the other day. Helps the Bruins get a little bit faster if nothing else.

But then again, there is a part of me that doesn't want Sweeney to make any trades to try and salvage this car wreckage.

The two worst offenses in the NHL this year are Boston and Chicago. Between their forwards, they have played 456 man games between them.

And 75% of those man games (341) have come from Forwards who were are currently or have previously been employed by Don Sweeney.

I don't think Don could recognize true offensive talent if it kick him square in the Sacco. I don't want him making any more moves. Fire him and his management group and let the new group handled the inevitable fire sale at this year's deadline.

The #1 prospect in the draft this year is a center out of Boston College? I mean it's fate.

7th-8th from the bottom of the league is a 6% chance to bink that pick. Imagine? Man what a troll job that would be. We're not even that far from there now, lol.
It's the #1 pick the year after I want...Gavin McKenna

Helps them get older and more likely to land on IR, would I like Hall, but think about do you want to do that.
will be interesting to see how much Sacco changes up the lines and pairings.
Hopefully this will not be the final roster, they just cannot blame the coach, players should be held accountable, and a message should be sent.

Would anyone trade Coyle for Hall ?
You literally read my mind but I refrained from posting it.

I do think Chicago adds a little. Picks or what not.

Hall has one year left on his contract before UFA. He is getting scratched. Chicago supposedly needs a center.

You get out of the remaining two years of Coyle. You reunite Hall-Zacha-Pasta and you get Poitras and/or Merkulov in the plans.

Still sort of robbing Peter to pay Paul but I don’t hate it.
Also if you wanna talk about shake up. This is it,

I probably would if Chicago added a little.

Question is, would Chicago want to do this? They are not winning anything this year, with or without Coyle (or Hall). Coyle is a free agent after this season. They seem best served to get another high draft pick and to take back futures (prospect or picks) in any deals they make. I don't know if being a little better now, with Coyle, helps them much with where they're going.

Oops I'm wrong, Coyle has another year on his deal after this one. So maybe it makes some sense for Chicago.

If you want add Hall, you cannot to it by subtracting Coyle.

Coyle for Hall + a pick , I would do it. Coyle has an 8-team NTC, so Chicago would have to not be on his list.

They seem to like former Bruins and need a center, so as long as Chicago is not on his 8-team NTC list. then it could happen, if the the Hawks added a pick, I would do it.

They have to change something. Can't hurt to give Sacco interim, then you can explore the coach and trade market in the meantime.

For sure he will be good, but McKenna looks really, really good. Landon DuPont is a Cale Makar type D coming in the next couple years.
Landon DuPont is definitely appearing to be a generational D talent. He was 14 years old on a U18 team in western Canada - put up 19g, 43a for 62p in 30 games. Hes over a PPG as a 15 year old in the WHL this year. So far looking to be the 1st overall in 2027.

The Bruins current future looks pretty bleak and these upcoming drafts have a ton of talent in the top 5-10. Will be nice to obtain/hold onto picks in the coming years.
