Give me a f***ing break. Swayman needs to grow the f*** up and put on some big boy pants if this is at all true.

There were lingering hard feelings about arbitration and now lingering hard feelings about his contract negotiations? You just got $66m that you didn’t earn, snowflake. STFU and focus on living up to it.

None of this is true. Friedman is simply the biggest snowflake insider in pro hockey.

I've heard enough of him and his buddy Jeff Marek over the years. They get on with this sort of soft, soppy crap all the time.

This kid is an as****, I hope he keeps letting in 5 goals a game. Neely should waive him and send DS packing with him.

Hard player to root for too bad he's wearing my favorite teams uniform still.

The #1 prospect in the draft this year is a center out of Boston College? I mean it's fate.

7th-8th from the bottom of the league is a 6% chance to bink that pick. Imagine? Man what a troll job that would be. We're not even that far from there now, lol.

If any of this is true and we do not need Friedman, to tell that, I have felt since training camp there was something off on this team. I do not want 8 years of Swaymans pissing and moaning, about how his feelings have been hurt, we will use his money on someone else, move him now while you can. Colorado needs a goaltender, make a move.

The article has a sensationalized headline. If you actually read it the only thing Friedman says is: "I THINK (a thing people say before they state their opinion) there's some lingering hard feelings"

You called Swayman a snowflake because of the way someone else feels. That's a little much, isn't it?

Merkulov has been a bit of a bright spot the last 2 games --- now he's got to do it consistently, but I have a little more hope than I did in October.
He's looked good, albeit against some bad teams that we should be beating. Crazy how playing high upside kids instead of shitty 4th liners leads to good things. Who woulda thunk.

What would it take to bring Taylor Hall back with retention? (getting healthy scratched. Chicago is taking a step back and not forward. Hall is a UFA after this season).

Hall-Zacha-Pasta was a very, very good line.

I think EF or someone mentioned CHI needs a center... Dont we all?

Get whatever they can for Marchand, Frederic, Brazeau, Coyle, Geekie, Johnson, Wotherspoon, Carlo, Peeke, and Korpisalo between now and the deadline.

If they can find some takers for either Zadorov, Elias or Hampus without having to give the acquiring team a 1st round pick, they should jump all over it. Probably wishful thinking though. No sane GM is taking those albatross contracts.

Marchand would have to request a trade.

Another 3rd liner making $5 mil?

Good luck.
I agree with you. They’d have to make it work or take on similar salary. I still think they should try something like that even if it’s a similar player at a similar cap hit. Just get some new faces in here.

Obviously any Marchand deal would begin with a tough honest conversation with him about the direction of this franchise. Maybe they offer to let him go try and win a cup as a rental and come back next summer. I agree he calls the shots in this scenario.

Swayman made a comment last night about how he's up to speed on the ice, but not with the guys in the room. I'm paraphrasing so if someone could find a clip that would be better, but I got the sense that he wasn't held in the same regard as last year. He was saying he needed to try to do more to be part of the room and more of a leader.

It caught my attention because that was one of the theories I tossed out yesterday when you asked me what was wrong.

I qualified my statement with “if this is true.” Friedman puts himself out there as an insider and states that he “thinks” something it’s safe to assume it’s an opinion based on some level of knowledge gained from speaking to some source (I.e., he’s making an inference based on some discussion/knowledge). Saying “I think” or “I believe” is a lead in to an opinion, not a feeling. I called Swayman a snowflake based on an insider’s opinion (presumably somewhat informed) of a situation. So no, it’s not a bit much.

I speak Friedman.

When he says "I wonder if..." that's just his opinion.

"I think..." means he's heard it from a source or two but possibly indirect and nothing where he's willing to own it.

"I've heard..." means he has it on better authority and will stand by it as a fact.

alright so Armstrong has been at bruins games, Sweeny at St Louis games and they even took in a CBJ game together. Id have to imagine they are making another push for Frederic.

I, for one, saw Lindholm highlights and thought that would be him. But I can’t recall one Lindholm shot all season lol.
they dont hold the puck in the Ozone long enough on the PP to get a bumper shot.

Why all that fluff?

A stone cold ice hearted trade is what the organization needs even if Brad ends up in tears.

McAvoy has shown no leadership but forcing the C on him could end up turning things around.

But for what? What does STL have, that they would be willing to give up, that would make Boston better? Schenn and Saad don't move the needle. Are they going to give up young guys from a rebuilding team?

I don't believe Boston views itself as a seller. They may be forced into that realization later in the season, but there is no way they're giving up 20 games in.

Honestly, the top 5 of this upcoming draft looks pretty good. Youd get a hell of a prospect with a top 5. Possible 1D, 2 1Cs and a power forward. If only this was happening next season in the Gavin McKenna sweepstakes. I would be all for a tank season.

It's for Team Canada.
